Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twentieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Hauraki Plains County.-Pipiroa Township.

SECTION 21, Block VII: Area, 1 rood. Upset price, £20.
The Town of Pipiroa is situated in Hauraki Plains, on the west bank of the Piako River, a few miles from the coast and seven miles distant from Thames. Access by service-car from Auckland. Section has a frontage to Hauraki Street. The land consists of partly drained alluvial clay deposit.

Waitakaruru Township is situated in the Hauraki Plains, at the mouth of the Waitakaruru Stream and Maukoro Canal. There is a direct steamer service from Auckland to Thames, the journey occupying about four hours, thence by launch about twelve miles. Thames may also be reached by rail from Auckland. Level section, comprising reclaimed swamp land.
SETTLEMENT LAND.-FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Hauraki Plains County.-Orongo Settlement.
Section 478: Area, 1 acre. Upset price, £320.
Improvements included in the capital value comprise kauri dwelling of four rooms (living-room, kitchen, two bedrooms), bathroom, and scullery, electric light, Orb range; building is in fair order.
Level section situated in the Orongo Settlement, approximately four miles from Thames, and adjacent to the new Kopu Bridge over the Waihou River. Well served with Auckland-Thames service-cars, which pass the section.

Opening Lands in the North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the Crown and national-endowment lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twenty-third day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Rodney County.-Pakiri Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for a period of seven years.)
SECTION 25, Block VIII : Area, 169 acres 0 roods 20 perches. Capital value, £210. Half-yearly rent, £4 4s.
Section 26, Block VIII : Area, 173 acres 1 rood. Capital value, £170. Half-yearly rent, £3 8s.
Sections 13 and 27, Block VIII : Area, 219 acres 2 roods 18 perches. Capital value, £220. Half-yearly rent, £4 8s.
These sections are offered free of rent for three years provided permanent improvements to the value of the annual rent are effected in each year.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION.
Sections situated on the Mangawai Highway, about three miles by partly formed road from Wellsford. Soil varies from pipe clay to mixed loam. Well watered by springs.
PARTICULAR DESCRIPTION.
Section 25: About 20 acres swamp; balance easy hills, and all ploughable, growing scrubby tea-tree, fern, and rough danthonia. Soil mixed loam with clay on hills.
Section 26: About 30 acres swamp undulating to hilly, all ploughable except about 25 acres of hill. Soil mixed loam and pipeclay on clay formation, growing tea-tree, fern, and danthonia.
Sections 13 and 27: About 30 acres swamp; balance undulating to broken. All ploughable with exception of about 40 acres. Soil mixed loam and pipeclay, growing tea-tree, fern, and danthonia.
SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Bay of Islands County.-Omapere Survey District.
Sections 11 and 15, Block IV: Area, 365 acres 3 roods 17 perches. Capital value, £230. Half-yearly rent, £4 12s.
Sections 12 and 16, Block IV: Area, 307 acres. Capital value, £290. Half-yearly rent, £5 16s.
These sections are offered free of rent for a period of five years providing that permanent improvements to the value of twice the annual rental remitted are effected each year.
The sections are situated on the Okaihau-Kerikeri Road. Access is from either Okaihau Railway-station or the Kerikeri landing, which are about eight miles distant by a formed clay-road. Area is undulating to easy rising land in manuka, fern, and hakea, with small patch of bush. Soil is ironstone, and is fairly well watered by streams. Elevation ranges from 500 ft. to 850 ft. above sea-level.
Mangonui County.-Mangonui Survey District.
Section 8, Block V: Area, 73 acres 0 roods 8 perches. Capital value, £75. Half-yearly rent, £1 10s.
Section 10, Block V: Area, 54 acres 3 roods 33 perches. Capital value, £45. Half-yearly rent, 18s.
Section 12, Block V: Area, 168 acres 0 roods 4 perches. Capital value, £135. Half-yearly rent, £2 14s.
Section 14, Block V: Area, 166 acres 2 roods 2 perches. Capital value, £145. Half-yearly rent, £2 18s.
Section 15, Block V: Area, 154 acres 1 rood 3 perches. Capital value, £140. Half-yearly rent, £2 16s.
Section 17, Block V: Area, 173 acres 3 roods 22 perches. Capital value, £115. Half-yearly rent, £2 6s.
Section 18, Block V: Area, 108 acres. Capital value, £80. Half-yearly rent, £1 12s.
These sections are offered rent free for a period of five years providing permanent improvements to the value of the rent remitted are effected annually.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION.
These sections comprise the Taipa Block, which is situated from one to three miles from Mangonui. The land is easy undulating, the greater part being ploughable, with poor ridges. Watered by swampy springs and streams. The soil varies from clay to friable clay resting on sandstone formation.
