FORM OF ELECTION TO ACCEPT IN LIEU OF PENSION A RETURN OF ALL CONTRIBUTIONS.

I, [Name in full], being a contributor to the National Provident Fund, hereby elect to accept in lieu of my pension a return of all contributions made by me to the Fund, less all sums heretofore received by me from the Fund in respect of the benefits provided by the above-entitled Act.

Notifying the proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Hawke's Bay Land District for other Land.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the first Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 13 acres, more or less, being Section 4, Block II, Waimarama Survey District : Bounded towards the north-west generally by a public road for distances of 363·l links, 453·3 links, 421·4 links, and 423·8 links respectively; towards the north-east by Section 1, Block II, Waimarama Survey District, for a distance of 1158·6 links ; towards the south-east by Section 1, Block II, Waimarama Survey District, for a distance of 1516·3 links ; and towards the south-west by Section 1, Block II, Waimarama Survey District, for a distance of 537·5 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1927, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing by admeasurement 13 acres, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 5242, Block I, Waimarama Survey District : Bounded towards the north-west by Section 3, Block I, Waimarama Survey District, for a distance of 1710 links ; towards the south-west by part Lot 2, D.P. 3851, for distances of 634·l links and 360 links respectively ; towards the south-east by part Lot 2, D.P. 3851, for a distance of 1047·6 links ; and towards the east generally by a public road for distances of 62·7 links, 406·5 links, 483·3 links, and 100 links respectively : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1927, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Notifying Land in North Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Monday, the twenty-third day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments, and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SETTLEMENT TOWN LAND.
Eden County.—Prescott Settlement.
SECTIONS 196 and 197 : Area, l rood 7·45 perches. Upset price, £440.
Weighted with £200, for improvements comprising iron shed and building (40 ft. by 19 ft.) with leanto at back (20 ft. by 10 ft.), unlined except for portion which has been used as office. This sum must be paid in cash.
Sections are situated in Great South Road, opposite Penrose Railway-station. Access is from Auckland, by good train and bus service. Section is stony and not level. Town water-supply is laid on.
Eden County.—Carroll Settlement.
Section 7 : Area, 34·6 perches. Upset price, £300.
Section 25 : Area, 34 perches. Upset price, £250.
Situated fronting Waiohua Street, off the Great South Road. About five minutes walk from Ellerslie Railway-station and school, and eight minutes from the Great South Road tram-terminus. Rich volcanic soil. Admirably suited for residential purposes, being within half an hour of Auckland by train, tramcar, or frequent bus service.
SETTLEMENT SUBURBAN LAND.
Waitemata County.—Waari Hamlet.
Section 61 : Area, 5 acres l rood 25 perches. Upset price, £405.
Weighted with £285, for improvements consisting of dwellinghouse of three rooms, shed, 9½ chains road fencing, 21 chains boundary-fencing, and 5½ chains subdivisional fencing. A deposit of £50 must be paid, and the balance paid by half-yearly instalments over twenty years, interest being at the rate of 5 per cent. to New Zealand discharged soldiers and 5½ per cent. to others.
The section is situated about thirty chains from the Oratia Railway-station and one mile and a half from Henderson School. Easy undulating land, all ploughable. There are about two acres in good pasture, 1½ acres in grass and scrub; balance natural state.
Section 83 : Area, 3 acres 2 roods 29 perches. Upset price, £350.
Improvements consist of a gable house containing four rooms and two leantos. The house is in poor condition, and is valued at £150. This amount can either be paid in cash or secured by an instalment mortgage for fifteen years, with interest at the rate of 5 per cent. per annum to discharged soldiers and 5½ per cent. to others.
Section is situated on Awarua Road, and is approximately one to one and a half miles from Henderson Post-office, school, and railway-station, and a quarter of a mile from the Oratia Railway-station. Easy undulating land, with a small gully across north-east corner. All more or less plough-able. Elevation approximately 75 ft. to 100 ft. above sea-level. Soil is of clay loam of fair quality resting on sandstone formation. Section is watered by a swampy stream. Three acres worn-out pasture, ¼ acre in orchard (of no value), balance formerly a garden, but now overgrown; 26½ chains of road and boundary fencing in poor condition. Property suitable for a homestead for a working man.
Section 85 : Area, l acre. Upset price, £125.
Section is situated fronting Sunhill Road, one mile from Glen Eden Post-office, railway-station, and school. Easy undulating to level land in scrub, all ploughable. High lying, and nicely situated for a dwelling. Bus service to and from Auckland on concrete road about a quarter of a mile away. No improvements.
