ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
March, 1930.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Eltham County Council (hereinafter called
“the said local authority”) proposes to borrow, in
accordance with the provisions of section three of the Main
Highways Amendment Act, 1928, the sum of one thousand
and eighty-three pounds by a loan to be known as “Manga-
toki and Waingongoro Bridges Loan, 1930,” for the purpose
of reconstructing the Mangatoki and Waingongoro Bridges
on the Skeet Road:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans
Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the
raising by the said local authority of the sum of one thousand
and eighty-three pounds, at such rate or rates of interest as
shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of
five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, upon terms
of making the said sum, together with interest thereon, repay-
able by instalments extending over a period of four years.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan by the
Wairarapa Hospital Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
March, 1930.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Wairarapa Hospital Board (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”) is desirous of
raising by way of bank overdraft the sum of five thousand
pounds for the purpose of making additions to Nurses’ Home,
Masterton Hospital, comprising twenty-three bedrooms, with
the usual offices:
And whereas the said local authority has complied with
the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act,
1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient
that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council
under the said Act should be given to the raising of the said
loan on the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, and of all
other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority
of the said loan by way of bank overdraft up to the amount
of five thousand pounds, for a term of two years, at such rate
or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lender a rate
exceeding current bank overdraft rates, subject to the con-
dition that in the financial year ending thirty-first March,
one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, the moneys so
borrowed shall be reduced by the sum of not less than two
thousand five hundred pounds, and the balance thereof shall
be repaid in the ensuing financial year.

Ohura County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
March, 1930.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Ohura County Council (hereinafter called
“the said local authority”) has obtained in terms of
section fourteen of the Local Government Loans Board Act,
1926, exemption from the requirements of that Act in respect
of a portion (one thousand pounds) of the Harvey-Tokirima
Special District Loan, 1921, of eleven thousand pounds:
And whereas the said local authority has applied under
section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for
the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to
enable the said local authority to borrow the said sum of
one thousand pounds, and it is expedient that such precedent
consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the
said sum of one thousand pounds, being a portion of the
Harvey - Tokirima Special - rating District Loan, 1921, of
eleven thousand pounds, and it is hereby declared that this
Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf
of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as
a consent to the raising of the said loan of one thousand
pounds.

Order in Council validating Proceedings in connection with
the proposed Loan of £3,210 by the Tahunanui Town Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 11th day of
March, 1930.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Tahunanui Town Board lately proceeded
to raise a loan of three thousand two hundred and
ten pounds under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1926 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), for
the purpose of bituminous penetration of main highway
through the town district, stabilizing sea-wall, and drainage
of main road:
And whereas the proceedings in connection with the said
loan were irregular or defective in that the poll of ratepayers
was taken more than three weeks after the day of the last
publication of the notice mentioned in section ten of the said
Act:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the district
have not been misled by such irregularity or defect as afore-
said, and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him
by section one hundred and twenty-two of the said Act, and
of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare
that the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall
be valid to all intents and purposes as though the poll of the
ratepayers had been taken not more than three weeks after
the day of the last publication of the notice mentioned in
section ten of the said Act, and that the validity of the
proceedings in connection with the said loan or the validity
of the security for the said loan shall not be called in question
by reason only of the irregularity or defect aforesaid.
