WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and their amendments, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for street purposes in Glenmore Street, in the City of Wellington—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

KOEFODS LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of a company called KOEFODS LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that the above company has passed a special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily. The Liquidators appointed for such winding-up are HARRY MORRIS ROGERSON and BARZILLAI BECKERLEG, whose address is at the offices of Messieurs Nicholson, Gribbin, Rogerson, and Nicholson, Imperial Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland.

Further notice is given that a new company to be called “Koefeeds Limited” is in course of incorporation, and such company will continue to carry on at the old address, Mortimer Pass, Newmarket, Auckland, the business of Condimentors hereinbefore carried on by the company now in liquidation.

AT a meeting of GRAU, HIPKINS, AND FAIRFIELD, LIMITED, held on the 16th day of December, 1929, it was moved and seconded that the company go into voluntary liquidation.—Carried.

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling McLaren’s Road from Waghorn’s Road to Stanley Road, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two pence halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the McLaren’s Road Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland in the Wairere Survey District, bounded towards the west by Waghorn’s Road from a point 10 chains south of McLaren’s Road to a point 10 chains north thereof; towards the north by line parallel with McLaren’s Road 10 chains therefrom to the western boundary of part Section 4, Block VI, Wairere Survey District (Baker), and north along same for 5 chains; thence by line again parallel with the road to the western boundary of Lot 2, part Sections 4 and 5, Block VI aforesaid (O’Sullivan), and by the western, northern, and eastern boundaries of this lot to a point in the eastern boundary 40 chains from the road; thence due east to the western boundary of part Section 5 aforesaid (Handley), and south along same to a point 25 chains from the road; thence due east to the western boundary of Section 8, Block VI aforesaid, and south along same to the northern boundary of the southern portion thereof (Sheehan), and along this northern boundary for 40 chains; towards the east by a line then due south to McLaren’s Road, and across and along this road eastward to the eastern boundary of Hungahunga No. 4A, which along for 20 chains; and towards the south by line parallel with the road to the eastern boundary of Lot 2, Hungahunga 4A, and by this boundary and the southern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, Hungahunga 4A and south-western boundary of Lot 1 to a point 10 chains from the road; thence by line parallel with the road to Waghorn’s Road where commenced; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Piako County Council held in Te Aroha on Monday, the 16th day of December, 1929.
