BOROUGH OF INVERCARGILL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Tramways No. 1 Redemption Loan, 1929, of £42,500.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Invercargill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £42,500, authorized to be raised by the
Invercargill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for paying off the balance (after deducting accumulated
sinking fund) of the Tramways No. 1 Loan of the Invercargill
Borough of £75,000, falling due on the 1st day of April, 1930,
the said the Invercargill Borough Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of decimal six two six (0·626) of one
penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the Borough of Invercargill, comprising the
whole of the Borough of Invercargill, and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of July
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.
This is to certify that a resolution of which the foregoing
is a copy was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Invercargill Borough Council, held on the 16th day of December, 1929.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses
of the Borough of Invercargill was hereunto affixed in the
presence of—

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Invercargill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,000 authorized to be raised by the
Invercargill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for paying off the balance (after deducting accumulated
sinking fund) of the Tramways No. 5 Loan of the Invercargill Borough of £5,700, falling due on the 1st day of October,
1930, the said Invercargill Borough Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of decimal nought seven four (0·074)
of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all
rateable property of the Borough of Invercargill, comprising
the whole of the Borough of Invercargill, and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st
day of July in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
This is to certify that a resolution of which the foregoing
is a copy was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Invercargill Borough Council, held on the 16th day of December, 1929.

Invercargill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,750 authorized to be raised by the
Invercargill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for paying off the balance (after deducting accumulated
sinking fund) of the Special No. 1 Redemption Loan of the
Invercargill Borough of £6,700, falling due on the 1st day of
July, 1930, the said Invercargill Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of decimal one three five
(0·135) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the Borough of Invercargill, comprising the whole of the Borough of Invercargill, and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day
of July in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

Invercargill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £12,500, authorized to be raised by the
Invercargill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for paying off the balance (after deducting accumulated sinking fund) of the Tramways and Electricity No. 2 Loan of the Invercargill Borough of £20,000 and the Tramways and Electricity
No. 2 Redemption Loan of £4,700, falling due on the 1st day
of April, 1930, the said Invercargill Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of decimal one eight four
(0·184) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the Borough of Invercargill, comprising the whole of the Borough of Invercargill, and that
such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of July
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.

matter of HUTCHINSON'S SCALES, AUSTRALASIA, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above-named company, held at the
Y.M.C.A. Rooms, Cambridge Terrace, Christchurch, on
Wednesday, the 18th day of December, 1929, the following
resolution was passed as an extraordinary resolution:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the meeting
that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue
its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and
accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily, and
that GEORGE LEWIS POMFRET-DODD be appointed Liquidator
for the purposes of such winding-up.
