Postmasters appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Appointment of Deputy District Public Trustee.

Notice is hereby given that, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by section three of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, I, the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, have appointed Richard Edward McRae-Fittall, of the Public Trust Office, Hawera, to be Deputy of the District Public Trustee, Hawera, during the absence of such District Public Trustee from his headquarters, and all previous appointments in this behalf are hereby revoked.

to be a Ranger under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, and an officer for the purposes of Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908, for the areas described in the First Schedule to the Taupo Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929, and the Rotorua Trout-fishing Regulations, 1929, as from the 7th day of October, 1929.

Kenneth Alan Henderson

to be District Public Trustee at Palmerston North as from the 15th day of November, 1929.

Donald Malcolm

to be the Registrar of Electors for the Electoral District of Clutha for the purposes of the Electoral Act, 1927, as from the 1st day of December, 1929.

Victor Roy Crowhurst

to be Official Assignee for the Hamilton Supreme Court District for the purposes of the Bankruptcy Act, 1908, as from the 13th day of November, 1929.

William David Lindsay McDonald

to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Stock Act, 1908, as from the 16th day of November, 1929.

I, ROBERT WILLIAMSON ATKINSON, Returning Officer for the purposes of the Honey-export Control Act, 1924, and regulations made thereunder, hereby declare

who was the only person nominated on the 20th day of November, 1929, to be duly elected a producers’ representative on the Board for the biennial period ending the 31st December, 1931.

Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.

STAFF.

Major-General R. Young, C.B., C.M.G., D.S.O., N.Z. Staff Corps, has been granted an extension of two years in his period of appointment as Commandant, New Zealand Military Forces, with effect from 7th December, 1929.

Captain A. Le G. Campbell, The Highland Light Infantry, on exchange from the British Army in India, having left New Zealand, relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant, 1st Battalion, Wellington Regiment. Dated 8th November, 1929.

Captain L. W. Andrew, V.C., New Zealand Staff Corps, having returned from a tour of exchange with the British Army in India, ceases to be seconded, dated 8th October, 1929, and is appointed Adjutant, 1st Battalion, Wellington Regiment. Dated 9th November, 1929.

Captain F. L. Hunt, N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer, Area 11A, Dunedin. Dated 29th October, 1929.
