THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
[No. 80

  1. Any four members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  2. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at the meeting.

  3. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman for such meeting.

  4. If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself, without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.

  5. The Board shall prepare and submit at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister in Charge of Scenery Preservation as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

  6. The Board shall control the said reserves in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.


SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

Papatowai Bush.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 156 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Sections 132 to 152 and 154 to 156, inclusive, together with the closed streets, Town of Papatowai. As the same is described in a Proclamation dated the 15th December, 1906, published on page 3220 of Gazette No. 109, of the 20th December, 1906.

Tahakopa Beach.

All that area containing by admeasurement 786 acres 3 roods, more or less, being Section 1, Block IX, Woodland Survey District. As the same is described in a Proclamation dated the 8th August, 1905, published on page 1922 of Gazette No..74, of the 10th August, 1905.

McLennon River.

All those areas containing by admeasurement 69 acres 2 roods 24 perches, being Sections 18, 19, and 20, Block XV, Rimu Survey District, and Sections 27 and 28, Block IX, Woodland Survey District. As the same are described in a Proclamation dated the 21st March, 1914, published on page 1152 of Gazette No. 28, of the 26th March, 1914.

Also all those areas containing by admeasurement 19 acres 3 roods 1 perch, being Sections 29, 30, and 31 (formerly portions of Section 2), Block IX, Woodland Survey District. As the same are described in a Proclamation dated the 10th June, 1914, published on page 2436 of Gazette No. 58, of the 18th June, 1914.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 23rd day of November, 1929.

Warrant authorizing the Feilding Borough Council to construct a Bridge over the Oroua River, at Feilding, on the Greatford-Woodville via Ashhurst Main Highway (together with Approaches thereto) and apportioning the Cost.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Feilding Borough Council to construct the bridge (together with approaches thereto) described in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that the cost thereof, less such contribution (if any) as may be made thereto by the Government of New Zealand or the Main Highways Board, shall be borne by the Feilding Borough Council, the Oroua County Council, the Kairanga County Council, and the Manawatu County Council in the following proportions—viz., the Feilding Borough Council shall pay thirty-three and one-third (33⅓) per centum, the Oroua County Council shall pay twenty-five (25) per centum, the Kairanga County Council shall pay twenty-five (25) per centum, and the Manawatu County Council shall pay sixteen and two thirds (16⅔) per centum of such cost respectively: And I do further direct that any contribution hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Oroua County Council, the Kairanga County Council, and the Manawatu County Council shall be paid from time to time, in the proportion hereinbefore prescribed, out of the funds of the said Councils within a period of one month after demand in writing made by or on behalf of the Feilding Borough Council; and all such payments shall be made from time to time to the Town Clerk, Feilding, for and on behalf of the said Councils.


SCHEDULE.

THAT bridge in the Wellington Land District over the Oroua River at Feilding, on the Greatford-Woodville via Ashhurst Main Highway (together with approaches thereto). As the site of the said bridge and approaches is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 74827, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Altering Constitution of the Transport Appeal Board for No. 13 Motor-omnibus District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section sixteen of the Motor-omnibus Traffic Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the appointment, made under my hand on the twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, of

Stanley Morell Macalister,

as member of the Transport Appeal Board of No. 13 Motor-omnibus District, and do hereby appoint

Horace James Macalister,

City Councillor, Invercargill, as representative of all those local authorities and public bodies (including persons having the delegated powers of a local authority under the Tramways Act, 1908) which have established any motor-omnibus service or tramway service for the conveyance of passengers within the district.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 23rd day of November, 1929.

Polling-places for the Hutt Electoral District appointed.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the Electoral Act, 1927, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish all existing polling-places, and do hereby appoint the places mentioned in the Schedule hereto to be the polling-places in the said Electoral District of Hutt.
