A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Otara Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 3 acres 1 rood 9 perches.
Being portion of Section 33; coloured pink.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 4 acres 0 roods 10 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 46 and 33; coloured green.
All situated in Block VI, Otara Survey District (Southland R.D.). (S.O. R 579.)
All in the Southland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 76059, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 26th day of November, 1929.

Notice withdrawing Land from a Mining District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight (c) of the Mining Act, 1926, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, withdraw from the Otago Mining District that area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of land in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 500 acres, more or less, being the whole of the Town of Pembroke excepting Section 1. Block XLVIII, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the west corner of closed road, Section 1324R, by Lake Wanaka 10100 links to a point on the shore of the lake opposite the south-west corner of Section 37, Block XIV, Lower Wanaka Survey District; by the crossing of a public road and the south-east boundary of said Sections 37 and 36 and the crossing of a public road, 1900 links; by the south-west boundary of Sections 35 and 8 and the crossing of a public road, the south-west boundary of Section 7, 5922·1 links; by the west boundary of Section 7, 436·3 links; the crossing of a public road, 202·2 links, and the west boundary of Sections 16 and 14, Block III, Lower Wanaka Survey District, 8952 links; by the crossing of a public road, 227·9 links; and the north boundary of Sections 12 and 4, 1983·4 links, and the crossing of a public road, 101·7 links; by the east and north boundaries of Section 2, 1122·3 links and 1419 links; by the north-east boundary of Section 2, 514 links; by the north-east boundary of Section 1, Block XLVIII, Town of Pembroke; the north-east boundary of Sections 1 and 28, Block III, Lower Wanaka Survey District, 2299·3 links; by the crossing of a public road, 204·8 links, and the north-east boundary of Section 31, 222·2 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked Mines N. 6/4/18, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Mines, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of November, 1929.

Amending Regulations under the Government Railways Act, 1926.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 15th day of November, 1929.

THE HONOURABLE T. M. WILFORD, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Government Railways Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend regulation Number 16 of the regulations made under the Government Railways Superannuation Fund Act, 1902, on the twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and three, as further amended by Order in Council made on the eleventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, by striking out of the said regulation the words “shall be twelve shillings and six pence” and substituting the words “shall be twenty shillings”; and doth hereby declare that this amendment shall take effect as from the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.

Directing Sale of Railway Land under the Public Works Act, 1928.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of October, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the thirty-fifth section of the Public Works Act, 1928 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land in the Auckland Land District containing an area of 6 acres 1 rood 15 perches, more or less, being portion of Railway Reserve near Ohaupo on the Kaipara-Waikato Railway (formerly parts of Sections 279 and 280, Ngaroto Parish), and being the whole of the land in Certificate of Title, Vol. 30, folio 219, in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland.

to be an Inspector under the said Act in respect to the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 12, Block XII, Tutamoe Survey District: Area, 18 acres 3 roods 15 perches, more or less.
