Auction.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon
me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land
Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Tuesday, the twenty-sixth day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-nine, as the time at which the lands
described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said
lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule
hereto.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LAND.
Ohura County.—Town of Matiere.
SECTIONS 17 and 18, Block V: Area, 2 roods. Upset price,
£20.
Sections 1 and 2, Block VI: Area, 1 acre 0 roods 4·1 perches.

Sections 10 and 11, Block VII: Area, 2 roods. Upset price,
£20.
Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block VIII: Area, 3 roods 38·4 perches.

Portion of a Primary-education Endowment in Block XXI,
Invercargill Hundred, Southland Land District, set apart as
a Site for a Public School.

WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Education
Reserves Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-
General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of
the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments
vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the
Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or of section
twenty-two of the first-mentioned Act, set apart as sites
for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any
part of such reserves or endowments:
And whereas the Land Board of the Southland Land
District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the
portion of the primary-education endowment described in
the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public
school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommenda-
tion:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts
aforesaid, do hereby set apart the portion of the primary-
education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a
site for a public school (Otatara).
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 34 perches, more or less,
being Lot 1 of Section 11, Block XXI, Invercargill Hundred:
Bounded towards the north and east by Lot 2 of Section 11,
four hundred and ninety-five decimal three (495·3) and one
thousand decimal nine (1000·9) links, respectively; towards
the south by a public road four hundred and ninety-six (496·0)
links; and towards the west by Lot 2 on Land Transfer
Plan 1553, being part of Section 15 of said block, one thou-
sand decimal nine (1000·9) links: Be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 6/6/528, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 9th day of February, 1929.
