FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREAS EXCLUDED FROM PLEASANT POINT TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 25 acres, more or less, situated in Block III, Pareora Survey District, and bounded by a line commencing at a point on Maze’s Road, at the southernmost corner of Rural Section No. 6894; thence along the south-eastern boundary of that section, a distance of 2001·5 links; thence at a right angle to the southern boundary of Rural Section No. 6331; thence returning along that boundary to Maze’s Road; thence returning along the north-eastern side of that road to the point of commencement.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 272 acres 2 roods, more or less, situated in Block IV, Pareora Survey District, and bounded by a line commencing at a point on Opihi Bridge Road at the south-west corner of Rural Section No. 23047; thence along the southern boundary of that section and the northern boundary of Reserve No. 2811 to its easternmost corner; thence along a right line to the northernmost corner of Rural Section No. 10453; thence along the north-eastern boundary of that section to Butler’s Road; thence along the western side of that road to the easternmost corner of Reserve No. 1580; thence along the northern boundary of that reserve and a line in continuation thereof to the western boundary of Rural Section No. 10174; thence along that boundary to the southernmost corner of Rural Section No. 19684; thence along the western boundary of that section to the north-east corner of Rural Section No. 10408; thence along the northern boundary of that section to a point five chains from Opihi Bridge Road; thence by a right line parallel to the said road, to the northern boundary of Rural Section No. 16698; thence along the said boundary to Opihi Bridge Road; thence returning along the eastern side of that road to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked I.A. 19/111/31, deposited in the office of the Minister of Internal Affairs, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

PLEASANT POINT TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Rural Section 6331; thence along the south-western side of the Tengawai Bridge Road to the easternmost corner of Rural Section 4838; thence across that road and along the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 7406 to the westernmost corner of Rural Section 10726; thence along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the Opihi Bridge Road; thence across that road to the northern boundary of Rural Section 16698; thence along that boundary for a distance of 500 links; thence along a right line parallel to and distant 500 links from the eastern side of the Opihi Bridge Road to the southern boundary of Rural Section 16698; thence along southern boundary of Rural Section 16698 to its south-eastern corner; thence along the western boundaries of Rural Section 19684 and 10174 to a point in line with the northern boundary of Rural Section 1580; thence to and along that boundary to Butler’s Road; thence along the western side of Butler’s Road to the railway-line; thence along the railway-line to the easternmost corner of Rural Section 9008; thence along the south-eastern, south-western, and north-western boundaries of that section to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 11119; thence across a road and along part of the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the easternmost corner of Allotment 106 of said Rural Section 11119; thence along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of the said Allotment 106 to Shere Street; thence along the south-eastern side of Shere Street to the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 41 of the said Rural Section 11119; thence along the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments 41 and 40 to the easternmost corner of the land shown on certificate of title, Vol. 217, folio 156, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence along the south-eastern boundary of the said land to the eastern boundary of Rural Section 10169; thence along part of the eastern boundary of that section to its south-eastern corner; thence along the southern boundaries of Rural Sections 10169 and 10407 and the south-western boundary of Allotment 38 of Rural Section 11119 to Manse Road; thence along the south-eastern side of Manse Road to the western boundary of Rural Section 10407; thence along the western boundary of the last-mentioned section to the south-eastern corner of Reserve No. 1581; thence along the southern boundary of that reserve and the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 18185 to the railway-line; thence along the railway-line to Maze’s Road; thence along the north-eastern side of Maze’s Road to the southern boundary of Rural Section 6331; thence along the southern boundary of the said Rural Section 6331 for a distance of 2001·5 links; thence along a right line parallel to and distant 2001·5 links from Maze’s Road to the north-western boundary of the said Rural Section 6331; thence along that north-western boundary to the northernmost corner of the said Rural Section 6331, to the point of commencement.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

POINT RIDING.—COUNTY OF LEVELS.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded towards the north by a line along the middle of the Opihi River from a point opposite the westernmost corner of Rural Section 22786 to a point in line with the westernmost corner of Rural Section 22302; thence along the south-western boundary of said Rural Section 22302 to Butler’s Road, forming the south-eastern boundary of said Rural Section 22302; thence along that road to the Timaru–Fairlie Railway; thence along that railway to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 15425; thence along that road to the road forming the northern boundary of Section 1, Papaka Settlement, Block VIII, Pareora Survey District; thence along that road, and the road forming the western boundary of the said Section 1 to the road forming the north-western boundary of Section 3, Papaka Settlement; thence along that road to the south-western boundary of the said Section 3; thence along that south-western boundary to the road forming the western boundary of Section 4, Papaka Settlement; thence along that road to Rolling Ridges Road; thence along Rolling Ridges Road to the eastern boundaries of Section 115, Rosewill Settlement; thence along the said eastern boundary to the road forming the southern boundary of the said Section 115; thence westerly along that road and the road forming the southern boundary of Section 103, Rosewill Settlement, to Tycho Flat Road; thence along Tycho Flat Road and Hay’s Road through Rural Section 18864, and the road forming the northern boundaries of Rural Section 18873 and Section 85, Rosewill Settlement, to the northernmost corner of the said Section 85; thence along the north-western boundary of that section to Summit Road; thence along that road and the south-eastern boundary of Section 84, Rosewill Settlement to the road forming the north-western boundary of Section 79 of the said settlement; thence along that road to the county boundary; thence along that boundary to the Tengawai River; thence across that river and along its left bank to Totara Valley Road; thence north-westerly along Totara Valley Road to its junction with School Road at the westernmost corner of Rural Section 16115; thence north-easterly along School Road to the road forming the south-western boundary of Rural Section 22786; thence along that road to the westernmost corner of the said Rural Section 22786; thence by a right line to the middle of the Opihi River, the point of commencement, and excluding therefrom the Pleasant Point Town District.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the provisional State forest described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

Permanent State Forest No. 97.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District containing by admeasurement 2,550 acres, more or less, being Sections 3, 5, 6, and 7, and part of Sections 1, 2, 4, 8, and 19, Block VIII, Manganui Survey District, and Crown land situated in Block VIII aforesaid, bounded generally as follows: Towards the north and east by a road; again towards the north by the Town of Erua; again towards the east by the North Island Main Trunk Railway Reserve; towards the south by Section 9, Block VIII aforesaid; towards the south-east and again towards the north by a road; again towards the south
