office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence
along that boundary to the north-western boundary of Sec-
tion 9, Block XIII, Hukerenui Survey District; thence along
that boundary to its south-western corner: thence along the
northern boundary of Section 17, Block XIII aforesaid, the
north-eastern and eastern boundary of Sections 17 and 16,
and the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 14, Block
XIII aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of Section 22,
said Block XIII; thence along the north-western corner of
Section 14, Otakairangi Parish, to its northernmost corner;
thence along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 14 and
13, Otakairangi Parish, to the north-western corner of Lot 4
on plan 11486, deposited in the office of the District Land
Registrar at Auckland; thence along the north-western and
north-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 4 to the Wairua
River; thence up the Wairua River to the Mangahahuru
Stream; thence along that stream to its junction with a
stream intersecting Papakuri 1964 Block; thence up that
stream to the south-eastern boundary of the Papakuri Block;
thence north-easterly along that boundary to the road forming
the western boundary of Section 6, Block IV, Purua Survey
District; thence southerly along that road to the north-
eastern boundary of Lot 1 on plan 13694, deposited in the
office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence
south-easterly along that boundary to the south-western
boundary of that portion of Maketawa Block shown on plan
1353, deposited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly along
that boundary to the north-western boundary of the Para-
kiore Block; thence along the northern and eastern bound-
aries of Parakiore No. 1 Block to its south-eastern corner;
thence along the northern boundaries of Ngawhakatikitu and
Puriritahi Blocks to the western boundary of the Whangarei-
Opua Railway; thence by a right line across that railway
to the north-western corner of part Puriritahi Block, shown
on plan 1585, deposited in the office of the District Land
Registrar at Auckland; thence along the north-western and
north-eastern boundaries of the Puriritahi Blocks to the
western boundary of the Whangarei Parish; thence along
that boundary to the western side of the Great North Road,
and along that road to the south-eastern boundary of that
part 50B containing 3 roods 36 perches; thence along that
boundary to a public road, and along the northern side
of that road to the boundary of the Kamo Town District;
thence along that boundary and the Borough of Whangarei
to the southern boundary of Section 77, Block XII, Purua
Survey District; thence along that boundary and the south-
western boundaries of Sections 73, 76, 52, and 55, to the
westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence
along a right line to the south-western corner of Section 37,
Block XI, Purua Survey District; thence along a right line
to the easternmost corner of Section 23B on plan 1315A,
deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auck-
land; thence along the north-eastern boundary of that sec-
tion and of Sections 22 and 20, Block X, Purua Survey Dis-
trict, to the Patu Wairua Stream; thence down that stream
to the Mangere Stream, and down the Mangere Stream to

the Wairua River; thence up that river to the south-western
corner of Section 20, Block II, Purua Survey District; thence
to the south-eastern boundary of the State Forest Reserve
in Block VIII, Mangakahia Survey District; along a line run-
ing from the south-western corner of Section 20, Block 11,
Purua Survey District, to the southernmost corner of Section
40, Block IV, Mangakahia Survey District; thence along a
right line to the north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block VII,
Mangakahia Survey District; thence along the northern
boundary of that section to and across the Hikurangi River;
thence down the right bank of that river to the northern
boundary of Pipiwai 2H 8 Block; thence along the northern
boundaries of Pipiwai 2H 8, 2H 6, 2H 5B, 2H 3, 2H 2, and 2H 1,
to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section;
thence along the north - eastern boundaries of Section 1,
Block VI, Mangakahia Survey District, Kaihou No. 4, and the
Nukutawhiti Block to the county boundary, and by the
county boundary to the place of commencement.

HIKURANGI RIDING.

All that area in the Whangarei County bounded on the
north-west by the county boundary from the western boundary
of N.W. 13 as shown on plan 11730, deposited in the office
of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, to the western-
most corner of Section 18, Block X, Hukerenui Survey Dis-
trict; thence along the Whangarei-Opua Railway to its
intersection with the main road at the southern boundary
of Section 2, Block XI, Hukerenui Survey District; thence
along the said main road to Section 38, Hikurangi Parish;
thence along the western and southern boundaries of that
section to the north-eastern boundary of the said Hikurangi
Parish; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the
Mangahahuru Stream; thence up that stream to the north-
eastern corner of Kahakaharoa No. 2 Block; thence along
the eastern boundary of Kahakaharoa No. 2 Block to the
Mangakino Stream; thence down the Mangakino Stream to
the Waitaua River; thence up the Waitaua River to the
north-western boundary of part Allotment 50, Parish of
Whangarei, as shown on plan 1583, deposited in the office
of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence along
the north-western and south-western boundaries of the said
part Allotment 50 to the north-western boundary of that part
Allotment 50, Parish of Whangarei, containing 15 acres 3
roods 32 perches; thence along that boundary to the bound-
ary of the Kamo Town District; thence along that boundary
to the north-eastern boundary of the Wairua Riding herein-
before described, and along that boundary to the place of
commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 9th day of
February, 1929.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the twelfth day
of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-sixth day
of March, one thousand nine hundred and eight, the Town
District of Pleasant Point was duly constituted and proclaimed
under the Town Districts Act, 1908, with the boundaries
described in the Schedule to the said Proclamation :

And whereas it is expedient to curtail the boundaries of
the said town district in the manner hereinafter set forth :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Town
Boards Act, 1908, and the Counties Act, 1920, and of all
other powers enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that as on and from the first day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, the boundaries of
the said Town District of Pleasant Point shall be altered by
excluding therefrom and including in the County of Levels
the areas described in the First Schedule hereto; that the
boundaries of the said town district (as so altered) shall be
those described in the Second Schedule hereto; that the area
included as aforesaid in the County of Levels shall be included
in the Point Riding of the said county; and that the bound-
aries of the said riding shall be those described in the Third
Schedule hereto.
