SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Bay of Islands County.—Kawa Kawa Survey District.
SECTIONS 46 and 48, Block XVI: Area, 19 acres 1 rood 4 perches. Capital value, £40. Half-yearly rent, 16s.
Weighted with £10 value of improvements, consisting of several chains of boundary-fencing, in poor condition; payable in cash.
Sections are situated three-quarters of a mile from Kawa Kawa Post-office. Poor gum land, with cement in places. No water. About one acre ploughed, and a few pines and wattles have been planted.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of November, 1929.

Opening Settlement Land in Otago Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and amendments, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Tuesday, the seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.


SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.—SETTLEMENT LAND.
Clutha County.—Pomahaka Survey District.—Murrayfield Settlement.
SECTION 1s: Area, 475 acres. Capital value, £3,900. Half-yearly rent, £97 10s.
Section 2s: Area, 601 acres. Capital value, £4,300. Half-yearly rent, £107 10s. Half-yearly instalment on buildings, £27 6s.
Section 2s is weighted with £700, value of buildings, comprising five-roomed dwelling (telephone, hot and cold water, bathroom, scullery, dairy, &c.), £520; and eight-stalled stable, barn, and implement-shed (under one roof), £180. This sum is to be paid either in cash or by forty-two equal half-yearly instalments of £27 6s. Total half-yearly payment, £134 16s.
Improvements included in the capital values are as follows:—
Section 1s: 277 chains of road fencing, half-value 166 chains boundary-fencing, and 136 chains internal fencing; valued at £223.
Section 2s: 230 chains of road fencing, half-value of 172 chains boundary-fencing, and 214 chains internal fencing; valued at £262.

GENERAL.

This settlement is situated in a good farming district, about one mile from Clydevale Post and Telegraph Office, store, steamer-landing, and school, and nine miles from Waiwera Railway-station. Access by good formed and metalled roads. There are also public stock saleyards at Clydevale. Mails by rural delivery, district served by telephone which is installed in the dwelling on Section 2s. The land grows good root and cereal crops, is very suitable for ewes and stock fattening; practically all arable, and responds well to liming. Fat stock can be trucked at Waiwera (nine miles) or ex Clydevale steamer (one mile). Possession will be given on the day of the ballot, from which date the rent will commence. The areas are approximate, and are subject to slight alteration; and the capital values and rentals may be adjusted in accordance with the altered areas.

DESCRIPTION OF SECTIONS.

Section 1s: Situated one mile from Clydevale and nine miles from Waiwera. Divided into six paddocks. Approximately 255 acres one-year grass, 173 acres two- to four-year grass, 45 acres turnip land, just eaten off. Well watered by creeks and springs; good sharp loam soil, clay bottom. Free of weeds and rabbits, and no danger from flooding. Lies well to the sun and is sheltered. Altitude 100 ft. to 200 ft. above sea-level.
Section 2s: Situated one mile and a half from Clydevale and eight miles from Waiwera. Divided into six paddocks.

Two hundred and sixty-four acres in young grass, 100 acres old pasture, 120 acres ploughed, 65 acres turnip land, just eaten off. Sharp loam soil on clay bottom. Well watered by creeks and springs and also the Pomahaka River. Practically free of weeds and rabbits, with a little gorse on the Pomahaka faces. Lies well; warm country. Altitude 150 ft. to 220 ft. above sea-level. An area of 50–60 acres, from which the turnips have been eaten off, has been sown in oats, while the balance of the turnip land has been worked for rape and turnips. In addition, 150 acres of the lea land has been double disked.

Opening National-endowment Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, at the rental mentioned in the said Schedule, and I do also declare that the said land shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.


SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.—NATIONAL-ENDOWMENT LAND.
Mangonui County.—Takahue Survey District.
SECTION 26, Block X: Area, 306 acres 1 rood 8 perches. Capital value, £150. Half-yearly rent, £3.
Weighted with £400, value of improvements consisting of rimu house (four rooms, lean to, veranda, oilstove, iron chimney), cowshed (4 bails), and engine-room, and 210 chains fencing (in fair order). This sum is payable either in cash or by a cash deposit of £50, the balance being secured by an instalment mortgage; term, twenty years; with interest at 5 per cent. per annum to discharged soldiers and 5½ per cent. to others.
The property is situated four miles from Takahue Post-office and thirteen miles from Kaitaia—ten miles metalled road, two miles formed, one mile partly formed. Country level to easy undulating, about 60 acres being bush land felled and grassed. Soil generally of poor quality clay resting on sandstone. Well watered by running streams.

Warrant vesting the Control of Tiwai Road and Portion of Campbell Road in the Onehunga Borough Council, and the Control of Portion of Campbell Road in the One Tree Hill Road Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby direct that Tiwai Road, firstly described in the Schedule hereto, and the portion of Campbell Road secondly described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of the gazetting hereof, be under the control of the Onehunga Borough Council; and I do further direct that the portion of Campbell Road thirdly described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of the gazetting hereof, be under the control of the One Tree Hill Road Board.


SCHEDULE.

FIRSTLY, all that street known as Tiwai Road, from its junction with Turama Road to its junction with Campbell Road; coloured blue on plan.
Secondly, all that portion of Campbell Road, from its junction with Tiwai Road to the point marked “B” on the plan hereinafter referred to, together with the footpath on the southern side of Campbell Road from the point marked “A” to the point marked “C” on the said plan, but not including any part of the footpath on the northern side of Campbell Road between the said points “A” and “C”; coloured red on plan.
