N OTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders, held on the 1st November, 1929, the following extraordinary resolutions were passed :-

“That it has been proved to its satisfaction that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue in business, and that it is advisable to wind up same, and that the company go into voluntary liquidation accordingly.”

It was also resolved, “That GUY HOWARD VEREKER-BINDON, Public Accountant, Hamilton, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

N OTICE is hereby given that a scheme for the administration of the above fund has been filed in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Auckland, and will be considered and dealt with by a Judge of that Court at Auckland on Friday, the 6th day of December, 1929, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, or so soon thereafter as counsel can be heard.

The said scheme is open for inspection by the public at the said Court without fee or charge.

GREY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Grey Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :-

That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £118,000 authorized by a poll taken on the seventeenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, to be raised by the Grey Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purchase and construction of electric works as defined in the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and the purchase and equipment of offices and showrooms, the said Grey Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and seven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the capital value) of the Grey Electric-power District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Grey Electric-power Board at a meeting of the Board held on the thirtieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.

Dated at Greymouth, this second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.
