RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other Acts and powers it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves, on the 5th day of November, 1929, as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of twenty-one thousand pounds (£21,000) to be known as “The Wellington City Unemployment Loan (No. 4), 1929,” authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of carrying out public works for the relief of unemployment, namely:—
Widening and formation work at Laura Avenue and Tanera Crescent; new connection between Durham Street and Mortimer Terrace; Jackson Street, Parkvale Road, Miramar Streets, Garden Road, Wade Street, Orouaiti Street, Roseneath Crescent, Wadestown Road, Buckle Street, Marine Parade, Branda Pass, Palliser Road, Wexford Road, Friend Street, and Moana Road; the provision of a parking place at Day’s Bay; and levelling, soiling, and incidental works at the Air Port at Lyall Bay;
the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixtieth of a penny (1/60d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years from the 30th day of November, 1929, or until the loan is fully paid off.

A MEETING of shareholders of the above company will be held in the Dominion Farmers’ Institute (Room 14, First Floor), Featherston Street, Wellington, on Monday, the 25th day of November, 1929, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., to receive Liquidator’s report and statement of winding-up.

AN extraordinary general meeting of the company will be held on the 27th day of November, 1929, in the company’s office, Commerce Street, Temuka, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., to receive the Liquidator’s account showing the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of.
Notice is hereby given that the Liquidator shall, after the meeting, make a report to the Registrar of Companies, and on the expiration of three months from the date of the registration of such report the company shall be deemed to be dissolved.

In the matter of the Religious, Charitable, and Educational Trusts Act, 1908, and its Amendments Act, 1908, and in the matter of a certain bequest of £5,000 to the Church Property Trustees for charitable purposes made by Annie Quayle Townend, late of Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand, Widow (deceased).
NOTICE is hereby given that a scheme for the modification of the above bequest has been referred to the Supreme Court, and lodged in the office of the said Court at Christchurch, where it is open for public inspection during office hours. Such scheme will be considered by a Judge of this Honourable Court on the 29th day of November, 1929, at 10.15 o’clock a.m., when all parties interested will be heard.
