including the moving and replacement of water-mains where required, the said Mount Eden Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Mount Eden, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between DAVID ORR and PERCY CAUTY LOASBY, carrying on business as Motor Engineers at Christchurch under the style or firm name of “Loasby and Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 21st day of October, 1929. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said David Orr, who will continue to carry on the said business under the style or firm of Loasby and Co.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and their amendments, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for street purposes at Chaytor Street, Karori, in the City of Wellington—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £28,300, authorized to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, for the installation of a sewerage system, the said Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four (4) pence in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property, on the basis of the unimproved value, of the special-rating area of the Borough of Rangiora, comprising the rateable property commencing at a point at the north-eastern boundary of the borough on the East
