Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in Waitomo County and Te Kuiti Borough, near Te Kuiti.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of the land taken for the purposes of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Waitomo County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 20·35 perches. Portion of Railway Reserve (New Zealand Gazette, No. 20, of 20th March, 1888), Block XV, Orahiri Survey District, Waitomo County, and Te Kuiti Borough. (S.O. 25206, blue.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 346, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of September, 1929.

Regulations under the Samoa Immigration Consolidation Order, 1924, amended.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of September, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, and in pursuance of the authority to make regulations for the peace, order, and good government of Samoa conferred on him by the Samoa Act, 1921, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby make the following regulations in amendment of the Samoa Immigration Consolidation Order, 1924 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Order”).

REGULATIONS.

  1. (a) THESE regulations may be cited as “The Samoa Immigration Amendment Order, 1929.”

(b) These regulations shall be read together with and deemed to form part of the principal Order (as amended by Order in Council made on the 20th day of June, 1927, and by Order in Council made on the 17th day of September, 1928).

(c) These regulations shall come into force on the 1st day of November, 1929.

  1. (a) Clause 4 of the principal Order is hereby revoked.

(b) Clause 6 of the principal Order is hereby amended by omitting from subclause one paragraph (b) thereof.
