PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

COPY OF RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR £6,000 ROADING LOAN, 1929, PASSED BY THE PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL AT THE ORDINARY MEETING ON THE 16TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1929.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000, authorized to be raised by the Pukekohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of road and footpath formation, the said Pukekohe Borough Council hereby makes a rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Pukekohe, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SOUTH TARANAKI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the South Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £187,500, authorized to be raised by the South Taranaki Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electric energy for the benefit of the South Taranaki Electric-power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things as the Board is empowered to do by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and its amendments, and by the Local Legislation Act, 1926, section 45, and in particular (but without limiting in any way any of the aforesaid powers) of purchasing the assets and undertaking of the Hawera County Electric Company, Limited, and of providing, erecting, and constructing a system of electric distribution and reticulation in such parts of the South Taranaki Electric-power District as are not at present eticulated, and of improving, adding to, and extending the present system of electric distribution and reticulation, and of making provision for financial assistance to consumers and for trading purposes, as provided by the said Electric-power Boards Act, the South Taranaki Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 588/1000ths. of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the improved value, of all rateable property in the South Taranaki Electric-power District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of the month of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the above Board held on the 16th day of September, 1929.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Ferry Bridge Renewal Loan (1929), £400.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested it in it that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of four hundred pounds (£400), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming portion of a loan of £750 maturing on the 30th September, 1929, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thousand-three-hundred-and-seventy-three twenty-five-thousandths (1373/25000ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the Ferry Bridge Special-rating Area which is now included in the City of Christchurch, as defined in the Schedule hereto, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirteen (13) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE REFERRED TO ABOVE.

Commencing at the point of intersection of the eastern side of Ensor’s Road and the north-east side of the Railway Reserve; thence along the north-east side of the Railway Reserve to the western side of Hillsborough Road; thence along the western side of Hillsborough Road to the right bank of the River Heathcote; thence along the right bank of the River Heathcote to Canal Reserve; thence along the southern side of Canal Reserve to the south-eastern corner of Aldwin’s Road; thence along the eastern side of Aldwin’s Road, across Ferry Road, and along the eastern side of Ensor’s Road to the commencing-point.

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Christchurch City Council at a meeting held on Monday, the 16th day of September, 1929.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Elmwood Park Renewal Loan (1929), £650.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of six hundred and fifty pounds (£650), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming portion of the Christchurch City Council’s share of a loan of £1,200 raised by the Waimairi County Council which matured on the 1st September, 1929, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-two-thousand-four-hundred-and-thirty-one one-hundred-and fifty-six - thousand - two - hundred - and - fiftieths (22421/156250ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the portion of the Elmwood Park Recreation-ground Loan Special-rating Area as defined in the Schedule hereto, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE REFERRED TO ABOVE.

Commencing at a point at the corner of Papanui Road and Bligh’s Road; thence along the south side of Bligh’s Road to the corner of Idris Road; thence in a line in a southerly direction at right angles to Bligh’s Road to the intersection of such line with Norman’s Road; thence along the northerly side of Norman’s Road to Papanui Road; thence northerly along Papanui Road to May’s Road; thence along the southern side of May’s Road to Scotston Avenue; thence along the western side of Scotston Avenue to Tomes Road; thence along the southern side of Tomes Road to Papanui Road; thence along the western side of Papanui Road to the commencing-point.

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Christchurch City Council at a meeting held on Monday, the 16th day of September, 1929.
