MOUNT ROSKILL ROAD DISTRICT.
NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the rate-payers of the Mount Roskill Road District, taken on Saturday, the 31st day of August, 1929, on the proposal of the Mount Roskill Road Board to borrow the sum of £62,000 for the purpose of installing a combined stormwater and sewage drainage system for Allotments 80 to 91, inclusive, and Allotments 116 and 125, inclusive, all of Section 10 in the Western Special Drainage Area of the Mount Roskill Road District, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 121; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 65.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 17th day of September, 1929, cancelled the registry of Court Pride of Waikato, No. 9281, of The Auckland District Branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters of New Zealand Friendly Society, No. 356 (Register No. 356 (2)/32), held at Hamilton, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned, the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Vincent, a County Corporation having its office at Clyde, hereby applies for a license for a dry-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 3.15 p.m., 18/9/29.

SCHEDULE.
Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing at a point in Run 223L, Lauder District, at the eastern end of applicant’s syphon across Thompson’s Creek, running in a south-easterly direction generally for a distance of 2 miles and 10 chains through the said Run 223L, across a county road, and through Sections 22, 21, 20, Block VI; across a county road, through Section 5, Block VI, Lauder District, and on to the Omakau–Drybread Road at the south-western corner of said Section 5; thence in a southerly direction for a distance of 90 chains along the western side of the said road, crossing another road; thence in south-westerly, westerly, north-westerly, westerly, and south-westerly directions for a distance of 50 chains through Section 8, Block III, Lauder District, crossing Cemetery Creek in a flume; thence in a southerly direction for a distance of 85 chains through Sections 2A and 2, Block III, Lauder District, crossing a county road, and terminating at the northern boundary of Section 3A, Matakaniu Settlement.
Length and intended course of race: 4 miles 75 chains, as above.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Already constructed.
Mean depth and breadth: 1 ft. 6 in. by 3 ft. 6 in.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Mining, irrigation, and domestic.
Proposed term of license: Twenty-one years.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 20th day of September, 1929, presented to the Honourable Michael Myers, Chief Justice of New Zealand, by Ellis and Manton, Limited, a creditor of the said company, and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 4th day of October, 1929, at 10.30 o’clock a.m. at the Supreme Courthouse at Wellington, and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose, and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
THE Partnership heretofore existing between RICHARD JOHN NORTHLAND CROSBY and SYDNEY ROBERT MASSAM, of Auckland, Barristers and Solicitors, under the style of “Crosby and Massam,” has been dissolved, Mr. Crosby not having been connected with the said firm for some time past. Mr. Massam is continuing to practice his profession at Horne’s Buildings, Vulcan Lane, Auckland.

MATAKAOA COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Matakaoa County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work—namely, the acquisition of land for the purposes of erection thereon of a worker’s dwelling; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council, situate at Te Araroa, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the 20th day of September, 1929, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk at the said Council Chambers, Te Araroa aforesaid.
