upon me by section one hundred and sixty-two of the Land Act, 1924, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that part of the Awana Kauri-gum Reserve, as described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from the twenty-eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

Appointing Additional Members to Everett Road Scenic Reserves Board.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and published in the Gazette of the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, the control of certain lands in the Taranaki Land District, known as the Everett Road Scenic Reserve, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Warrant constituted a Special Board by the name of the Everett Road Scenic Reserves Board, in pursuance of section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908:
And whereas it is considered desirable that the membership of the said Board should be increased, and that the number of members to form a quorum at the meetings of the said Board should be altered from three to five members:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby appoint
The Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Taranaki Land District, ex officio;
The Chairman of the Inglewood County Council, ex officio; and
The Mayor of the Borough of Inglewood, ex officio,
to be additional members of the Everett Road Scenic Reserves Board constituted by the Warrant dated the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, hereinbefore referred to; and doth hereby also amend clause four of the conditions contained in the said Warrant by substituting the words “five members” for the words “three members.”

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Hundalee Scenic Reserves Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act), in trust, for the purposes of scenery preservation, as from the date of this notice until the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-two (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), in the Hundalee Scenic Reserves Board, as constituted by notification dated the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and published in Gazette of the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven.

Portion of a Secondary-education Endowment in Parish of Waikomiti, North Auckland Land District, set apart as a Site for a Public School.

WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or of section twenty-two of the first-mentioned Act, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserves or endowments:
And whereas the Land Board of the North Auckland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the portion of the secondary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the portion of the secondary-education endowment described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a public school (Glen Eden).
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Waitemata County, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 37 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 on deposited plan 21318, Auckland Registry, being part Allotment 187, Parish of Waikomiti, and being more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/40A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Deposited plan 21318, Auckland Registry.)

Opening Lands in the Nelson Land District for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided by section one hundred and seventy-six of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Tuesday, the twelfth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Waimea County.—Motueka Survey District.
SECTIONS 5, 7, 9, 10, and 11, Block XII: Area, 60 acres 2 roods 20 perches. Capital value, £35. Deposit on deferred payments, £5; half-yearly instalments on deferred payments, 19s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 14s.
Property is situated on the top of hill between Mapua and Lower Moutere, the main Nelson-Motueka road, being one mile and three-quarters distant, the last three-quarters of a mile being unformed. All undulating country, covered with small manuka scrub and gorse. Soil of poor clay formation. Most suitable for tree-planting. No water. Altitude, 350 ft. to 400 ft. above sea-level.
THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Waimea County.—Motueka Survey District.
