Validating the Proceedings in connection with the Inglewood Borough Council Water and Drainage Loan 1904 Repayment Loan, 1929, of £12,000.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of September, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Inglewood Borough Council lately proceeded by way of special order under section seventeen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), to raise a loan of twelve thousand pounds for the purpose of redeeming portion of a loan of fourteen thousand pounds maturing first October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine :
And whereas the proceedings in connection with the said loan were irregular or defective in that—
(a) The name of the place at which the special meeting was to be held was not specified in the requisition for such meeting, as required by subsection one of section sixty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920 :
(b) Public notice of the place and date fixed for the subsequent meeting and of the resolution was not given once in each full week intervening between the two meetings, as required by paragraph (c) of section sixty-three of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920 :
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the district have not been misled by such irregularities or defects as aforesaid, and it is expedient to validate the same :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and twenty-two of the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though—
(a) The name of the place at which the special meeting was to be held had been specified in the requisition for such meeting :
(b) The public notice of the place and date fixed for the subsequent meeting and of the resolution had been given once in each full week intervening between the two meetings :
And that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan or the validity of the security for the said loan shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularities or defects aforesaid.

Validating Proceedings in connection with the Oamaru Borough Council’s Loan of £151,500.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of September, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Oamaru Borough Council, acting under and in pursuance of subsection (l) of section seventeen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, proposes to raise a loan of one hundred and fifty-one thousand five hundred pounds for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability in respect of the Oamaru Redemption Loan of one hundred and seventy-three thousand eight hundred pounds, which matures on the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty :
And whereas the proceedings in connection with the said loan are irregular or defective in that the public notice of the meeting to confirm the resolution making the special order authorizing the raising of the loan did not state the place at which such meeting was to be held, as required by paragraph (c) of section sixty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920 :
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the Borough of Oamaru have not been misled by the said irregularity and it is expedient to validate the same :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and twenty-two of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the proceedings taken to raise the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though public notification of the said meeting had been correctly given and that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan or the validity of the security for the said loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity or defect aforesaid.

Vesting the Control of a War Memorial Reserve in the Taranaki County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of September, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for a site for a war memorial :
And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in the Taranaki County Council :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserve in the Taranaki County Council, subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say :—

The period for which the control of the reserve is hereby vested shall be five years from the date hereof.

The said Council shall prepare a report each year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of receipts and expenditure in connection with the said reserve.
A copy of every such report and statement shall be sent to the Minister of Lands as soon as possible after each financial year.

Withdrawing Land from the Operation of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of September, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty-two of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council gazetted, on the recommendation of the Land Board, declare that any land comprised in a kauri-gum reserve shall, from a date to be specified in the Order, cease to be subject to the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and on and after the date so specified the land to which the Order relates shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924 :
And whereas the Land Board of the North Auckland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that part of the Awana Kauri-gum Reserve, as described in the Schedule hereto, be excepted from the operations of the Kauri-gum Industry Act, 1908, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation :
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred
