said road for a distance of approximately 3380 links to an
angle in the road aforesaid; thence by a line across the last-
mentioned road, the south-western, the western, and the
southern boundaries of Lot 2 of Section 1 of the last-mentioned
block to the Mangere Stream; thence by the western bank of
the said stream to the southern boundary of the Waipa
County; thence by the said county boundary to the south-
western corner of Maungatautari 4B Nos. 3 and 6, Section 4;
thence by the western boundaries of the last-mentioned
section and Maungatautari 4B Nos. 3 and 6, Section 2B, to
the northern boundary of the last-mentioned section, a line
across a road, and the western boundary of Maungatautari
4B Nos. 3 and 6, Section 2A, to the northern corner of the
last-mentioned section, the place of commencement; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
1st day of August in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Council of
the County of Waipa held on Monday, the 12th day of
August, 1929.

THE LAURISTON TIMBER COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the share-
holders of THE LAURISTON TIMBER COMPANY, LIMITED,
held on the 26th day of August, 1929, the following resolution
was unanimously carried by the shareholders thereof, duly
entered in the minute-book of the said company, and signed
by all the shareholders therein:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that
WILLIAM DAVIDSON, of Dunedin, Timber-merchant, be the
Liquidator for the purpose of the winding-up.”

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of an order of
the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Otago and South-
land District, made on the 4th day of September, 1929, it is
ordered that the creditors of the above-named company who
have not already proved their claims should prove same
before the 1st day of December, 1929, and that unless such
creditors do come in and prove their claims on or before
such last-mentioned date the Liquidator will proceed to dis-
tribute the assets of the above-named company, having regard
only to such creditors of the said company as shall then have
proved their claims.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
existing between WALTER JAMES HOULDEN and
FREDERICK BREWER, under the style of “Langsford’s,”
Drapers, &c., Victoria Street, Hamilton, has been dissolved
by mutual consent as from the 31st August, 1929.
The business will from that date be carried on by W. J.
Houlden under the style of “Langsford’s,” and all debts due
to the firm of “Langsford’s” will be payable to W. J.
Houlden, who will also pay all debts owing.

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned,
A. R. Wallis, Limited, a company duly incorporated,
having its registered office at Greymouth, and carrying on
business as a Sawmiller, hereby applies for a license for a
water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course
whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Length and intended course of race: 34 chains westerly
through freehold Sections 2228 and 2319, Block XIII, Hohonu
Survey District (Alphonse Edward Morel), and crossing
Main Taramakau Settlement Road.
Points of intake: Deep Creek.
Estimated time and cost of construction: 2 months;
£100.
Mean depth and breadth: 1 ft. by 1 ft.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,
and its Amendments, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-named
Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf,
to execute a certain public work—namely, for the purpose of
a substation-site, Ghuznee Street, in the City of Wellington
—and for the purpose of such public work the land described
in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice
is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to
be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk
to the said council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the
said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all
persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work, or the taking
of such land should, if they have well-grounded objections to
the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the
said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing,
within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to
the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk
at his said office.
