The South-eastern Side of Portion of Dorset Road and the North-eastern Side of Portion of Somerset Road, in the County of Wairarapa South, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of September, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wairarapa South County Council on the twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, the portions of roads affected by such resolution being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, viz:—
“The Wairarapa South County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the Wairarapa South County, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the roads (or portions of roads) known as Somerset Road and Dorset Road, adjoining Sections 1 and 2, Taratahi Plains Block, Block XI, Tiffin Survey District ”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-eastern side of the portion of Dorset Road, or fronting the north-eastern side of the portion of Somerset Road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the said portions of roads.
SCHEDULE.
THE south-eastern side of all that portion of road situated in the Wellington Land District, Wairarapa South County, known as Dorset Road, fronting Sections 1 and 2, Taratahi Plains Block, Block XI, Tiffin Survey District.
Also the north-eastern side of all that portion of road in the said land district and county known as Somerset Road, fronting Section 1, Taratahi Plains Block, Block XI, Tiffin Survey District.
As the said portions of roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 76311, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The Western Side of Portion of the Takaka-Motueka Main Road, in the County of Waimea, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

“That the Waimea County Council, being the local authority having control of the public road fronting Section 29, Block X, Kaiteriteri Survey District, by resolution declares that provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the western side of that portion of the said road fronting Lots 1 and 3 of the said Section 29, Block X, Kaiteriteri Survey District ”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of road.
SCHEDULE.
THE western side of all that portion of road known as the Takaka-Motueka Main Road, situated in the Nelson Land District, County of Waimea, adjoining Lots 1 and 3 of a subdivision of part Section 29, Block X, Kaiteriteri Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 76297, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Regulations for Trout Fishing in the Feilding and District Acclimatization District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of September, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Fisheries Act, 1908, and its amendments, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regulations for all that part of the Dominion known as the Feilding and District Acclimatization District, and the waters thereof, as the same is defined in the First Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that these regulations shall, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, supersede all other regulations for the said district, and such regulations are hereby revoked.
REGULATIONS.

LICENSES to fish for trout and other acclimatized fish within the said district may be issued under the hand of the Secretary of the Feilding and District Acclimatization Society, or any one authorized by the said Secretary in that behalf, and such license shall entitle the person named therein to fish in the said acclimatization district from the 1st day of October in any one year to the 30th day of April in the year following, subject to the said Acts, and any regulations made thereunder, and in force in the said district, and to these regulations.

The fee to be charged for a license as aforesaid to each male person over the age of sixteen years shall be one pound (£1), and every such license shall be in the form set forth in the Second Schedule hereto. Licenses may also be issued to boys attending school or under the age of sixteen, or to women, at a fee of five shillings (5s.) for each license so issued: Provided that it shall be lawful for any Secretary or his deputy, in any case where application is made for a license on or after the 20th day of December in any year, to issue a license to any man for the sum of twelve shillings and sixpence (12s. 6d.); but so that such license shall extend only from the time of granting the same until the termination of the then trout-fishing season. No license shall confer any right of entry upon the land of any person without his consent.

The Secretary of the said society or his deputy may issue day licenses to bona fide travellers and strangers not resident within the district aforesaid on payment of a fee of two shillings and sixpence (2s. 6d.) for each day’s fishing: Provided that the Secretary or his deputy may refuse to issue a license to any person who (within the previous five years) has been convicted of any breach of the provisions of any Act relating to fishing for trout, or of any regulations made thereunder.

Trout shall not be fished for, taken, or killed, otherwise than with one rod and line, but a landing-net or gaff may be used to secure any trout caught with such rod and line, and no lines or baits other than natural or artificial flies, insects, worms, or fish shall be used with such rod and line: Provided that in that portion of the Oroua River between the Aorangi Bridge at Feilding and the Menzie’s Ford Bridge on the Colyton Road artificial fly only may be used.

No license shall authorize any person other than the person named therein to fish.

No person shall take, kill, or have in his possession any trout or perch between the 1st day of May and the 30th day of September in any year, which period is hereby appointed a close season for trout: Provided always that this regulation shall not apply to fish caught by the officers of the Marine Department or of an acclimatization society, or the General Manager of the Department of Tourists and Health Resorts for the purpose of pisciculture or scientific investigation.
