Authorizing Acquisition of Land notwithstanding Limitation of Area.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is enacted by section seventeen of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1927, that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council, in any case where he deems it expedient in the public interest so to do, authorize the acquisition, alienation, or disposition of any land or any interest therein, notwithstanding the provisions of the statutory enactments therein mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the authority conferred upon him by the said section seventeen and every other power him enabling, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby authorize the acquisition and disposition by the Otago Harbour Board of the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding the provisions of sections seventy-two to seventy-six (inclusive) of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, or of Part XII of the Native Land Act, 1909.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those parcels of land containing together by admeasurement 36 acres, or thereabouts, and being Sections 63, 64, 69, and 70 of Block V of North Harbour and Blueskin Districts.

Cancelling the Reservation over a Reserve in Block IV, Piako Survey District, Auckland Land District.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August, 1929.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation as a reserve for a site for public buildings of the General Government over the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 23, Block IV, Piako Survey District: Area, 3 roods 39·5 perches, more or less.

Changing the Purpose of part of a Reserve in Block VII, Waitaki Survey District, Canterbury Land District.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of a reserve duly set apart for Provincial Government purposes:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for Provincial Government purposes to a reserve for recreation purposes.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 63 acres 2 roods 32 perches, more or less, being part of Reserve 1816, Block VII, Waitaki Survey District. Bounded on the north by Reserve 2854, 1505·2 links; on the east by a public road, 4231·9 links; on the south by Reserve 3596 (Steward Park), 1506 links; and on the west by the South Island Main Trunk Railway, 4230·1 links. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/406, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue.

Consenting to a Body Corporate borrowing Money, and authorizing Payment to the Committee of Management.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August, 1929.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and thirty-five of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that, with the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council, a body corporate constituted under Part XVII of the said Act may, on the security of a mortgage or charge of the land vested in it, borrow money for any of the purposes therein mentioned:
And whereas the body corporate constituted as aforesaid described in the Schedule hereto has applied for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council accordingly, and also that consent be given to any money so borrowed being paid to the committee of management of such body corporate:
And whereas the Tairawhiti District Native Land Court has recommended that such consent be granted, and it seems expedient so to do:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby, pursuant to section three hundred and thirty-five of the Native Land Act, 1909, and all other powers him enabling, grant precedent consent to the said body corporate, on the security of a mortgage or charge of the land vested in it, borrowing from a State Loan Department or from any person or body corporate, whether by cash credit in current account with a bank or otherwise, for the purpose of enabling the said body corporate to liquidate existing liabilities in respect of, and to further improve and more efficiently farm, the lands of the said body corporate, the sum set out hereunder opposite the name of such body corporate; and doth authorize the payment of any money so borrowed to the committee of management of the said body corporate; and doth consent to any instrument of alienation by way of mortgage of the lands of the said body corporate, given in pursuance of this Order in Council being confirmed by the Tairawhiti District Maori Land Board.
