A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of electric works, and shall vest in the Malvern Electric-power Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the Borough of New Plymouth of a Width of less than 66 ft. but not less than 40 ft., subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August, 1929.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the New Plymouth Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street, described in the Schedule hereto, of a width of less than sixty-six feet but not less than forty feet, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said street within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said street.
SCHEDULE.
THAT proposed street in the Taranaki Land District, Borough of New Plymouth, adjoining part Section 21, Fitzroy District, and Lots 11 to 16 and 3 to 8 of a proposed subdivision of portion of part Section 21, Fitzroy District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75728, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Amending Regulations under the Fisheries Act, 1908, as to Size of Blue Cod.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of August, 1929.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 16, of the twenty-seventh day of the same month, regulations were made prescribing the minimum size at which blue cod may be taken, bought, sold, exposed for sale, or kept in possession:
And whereas it is desirable to revoke the said regulations, and to make other regulations in lieu thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section five of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited regulations, and doth hereby make the following regulations in lieu thereof.
REGULATIONS.
(1) No person shall take, buy, sell, expose for sale, or have in possession any blue cod of a less length than 12 in. in the natural state, or of a less length than 10 in. when properly headed—that is, the head cut off at the back of the eyes:
Provided that this regulation shall not apply to blue cod taken by licensed fishermen and retained by them solely for use as bait.
(2) Any person committing a breach of the foregoing regulation shall be liable to a fine of not less than £1 nor more than £20.
