All that area in the City of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 0 roods 10·9 perches, more or less, being part Section 4, Harbour Registration District, situated in Block XI, Belmont Survey District, and being the whole of the land on plan numbered 154/58, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon coloured red. (Recreation.)

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Reserve Number 3458, situated in Block VIII, Morven Township, and bounded as follows: Towards the north by Town Section Number 5, Block VIII, 500 links; towards the east by Section Number 6, Block VII, Waitaki Survey District, 500 links; towards the south by Reserve number 3459, 500 links; and towards the west by Donald Street, 500 links: As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/124, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 136 acres 3 roods 19 perches, more or less, being part of Section 2, Block I, Coneburn Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-west generally by the road reserve along the shore of Lake Wakatipu, 3956 links; towards the north-east by Section 3, 467 links, and other part of Section 2, 3833·9 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 1329·7 links; towards the south generally by the road reserve along the shore of Lake Wakatipu, 5535·2 links; and towards the west by the said road reserve, 996·9 links: Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/1/441, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Recreation.)

Notifying Land in Canterbury Land District for Sale by Public Auction for Cash or on Deferred Payments.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction, for cash or on deferred payments; and I do hereby fix the price at which the land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the second day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Kawhia County.—Kawhia North Survey District.

Section 11, Block VI: Area, 7 acres 3 roods 30 perches. Upset price, £40.

Weighted with £35, value of improvements comprising approximately 25 chains fencing (in poor condition), and two-roomed kahikatea whare (in good condition); payable in cash.

Situated two miles and a half from Kawhia Wharf, school, store, and post-office. Eight miles from Oparau Dairy Factory and saleyards. Area is all in worn-out pasture, now covered with blackberry and gorse; watered by springs.

Opening Lands in Wellington Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease on Monday, the twenty-third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Waimarino County.—Whirinaki Survey District.

(Exempt from Payment of Rent for a Period of Five Years.)

Section 3, Block VIII: Area, 730 acres 2 roods. Capital value, £547. Half-yearly rent, £10 18s. 10d.

Weighted with £980, value of improvements consisting of felling, grassing, fencing, orchard, and buildings. This amount may either be paid in cash or secured on first mortgage to the State Advances Superintendent; term, thirty years.

Property is situated on the Raetihi–Ohura Road, about twenty-eight miles from Raetihi Railway-station, six miles from Ruatiti School. Dairy Factory at Raetihi. Fairly steep slopes, with light soil, mostly on sandstone formation. About 500 acres felled and grassed, and balance bush. Pasture reverting to second growth. Land is suitable for grazing. Altitude, from 1,000 ft. to 2,000 ft. above sea-level.
