Authorizing Erection of a Public Hall on Hyde Domain, Otago Land District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by subsection one (d) of section fifty-two of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby authorize the Hyde Domain Board to erect a public hall on that portion of the Hyde Domain under its control described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing by estimation two roods, more or less, being part of Section 62, Block VII, Rock and Pillar Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by part Section 19, 212·5 links; towards the south-east and south-west by other part of Section 62, 214 links and 200 links respectively; towards the north-west by a public road, 286 links: Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/116A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 12th day of August, 1929.

Cancelling the Reservation over Portion of a Primary-education Endowment in the Taranaki Land District, and reserving Crown Land in lieu thereof.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty-three of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Warrant under his hand, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest so to do, cancel the reservation over any education reserve or endowment vested in the Crown, pursuant to the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or over any part thereof, and to reserve in lieu thereof

either an area of equal value of national-endowment land over which the reservation has likewise been cancelled pursuant to that section, or an area of equal value of ordinary Crown land:

And whereas the Governor-General deems it expedient in the public interest to cancel the reservation over the portion of the primary-education reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, and to reserve in lieu thereof the area of Crown land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and sixty-three of the Land Act, 1924, do hereby cancel the reservation over the portion of the primary-education reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, and do hereby reserve in lieu thereof the Crown land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF PORTION OF PRIMARY-EDUCATION RESERVE OVER WHICH RESERVATION CANCELLED.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 78 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being part Section 6, Block XVI, Upper Waitara Survey District: Bounded towards the north by the Pataka Road, 8918·6 links; towards the south-east by Section 9 (Quarry Reserve), Block XVI, Upper Waitara Survey District, 894·3 links; towards the south by Section 8, Block XVI, aforesaid, 5733·1 links; and towards the west by the Mangaone Stream: Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/569, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF CROWN LAND RESERVED IN LIEU THEREOF.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 34 acres 2 roods 27 perches, more or less, being parts of Sections 2 and 29, Block XV, Ngatimaru Survey District: Bounded towards the north by the Brewer Road, 3622·6 links; and towards the south-east and south generally by the Old Brewer Road, 7730·3 links: Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 4/569A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 12th day of August, 1929.

Lands temporarily reserved in the Gisborne, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands in the Gisborne, Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.

SCHEDULE.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 37 perches, more or less, being Section 119, Te Puia Suburbs.

Also all that area in the Gisborne Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood 14 perches, more or less, being Section 120, Te Puia Suburbs.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 29806A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Hot springs.)
