THE OTAIHAPE FARMERS’ MEAT AND PRODUCE COMPANY, LTD.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of THE OTAIHAPE FARMERS’ MEAT AND PRODUCE COMPANY, LIMITED (in Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of members of the above company will be held at the Fire Brigade Hall, Taihape, on Wednesday, the 28th day of August, 1929, at 10.45 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of laying an account before the said members showing the manner in which the winding-up of the said company has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and for the purpose of passing an extraordinary resolution disposing of the books, documents, and accounts of the company.

The extraordinary resolution to be submitted to such members is as follows:—

“That the books, documents, and accounts of the company be kept at the office of Messrs. Maclean and Kincaid, Solicitors, Taihape, for the period of twelve months from the date of passing this resolution, and thereafter that they be destroyed.”

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling about 200 chains of Woods Road, in the Waitoa Riding, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two pence and one farthing in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Woods Road Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland bounded commencing at the south-eastern corner of Lot 1 of Section 6, Te Kahia; towards the west generally by the eastern boundary of this lot for a distance of 25 chains; thence by line at right angles to such eastern boundary due west for a distance of 35 chains; thence due north to the main road and along same to the north-western corner of Section 5, Te Kahia; towards the north by the northern boundary of Sections 5 and 3, Te Kahia, and road crossing, and for a distance of 5 chains by the northern boundary of Section 1, Te Kahia; towards the east generally by direct line parallel with the road 5 chains therefrom to a point 10 chains from the southern boundary of Section 1, Te Kahia, and by direct line due east therefrom to the Waitoa River, and by such river to the south-eastern corner of Section 2, Te Kahia; and towards the south by the southern boundary of Sections 2 and 4, Te Kahia, and of Lot 2 of Section 6, Te Kahia, to the point of commencement; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,800, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of metalling about 1 mile 24 chains of School Road and Hungahunga Road from School Road to Diagonal Road, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three pence in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the School Road Special-rating Area of the Piako County, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland bounded commencing at the southern boundary of the block Hungahunga No. 2 where intersecting the Piraunui Stream; towards the south-west by this stream to the centre-line of Lot 9 of the Chudleigh Estate; towards the north generally by such centre-line and the road to the centre of the south-western boundary of Section 6 of Block I, Wairere Survey District, and across this section by direct line to a point in the eastern boundary thereof, 2929 links from its northern boundary; thence by direct line east 1575 links from the road to the centre of the northern boundary of the property shown on deposited plan 1871; towards the east generally by a line due south to the road and east along same to the centre of the northern boundary of Lot 1 on deposited plan 6598, then by direct line south across this lot at right angles and by the northern, western, and southern boundaries of Lot 2 and part Lot 3, shown on deposited plan 6598, to the intersection of the southern boundary of this property with the eastern boundary of Section 9 of Block I, Wairere Survey District; then by direct line to the centre of the south-eastern boundary of Section 1 of Block V, Wairere Survey District; and towards the south by the road and southern boundary of Hungahunga No. 2 to the point of commencement; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned FRANK BURGE and OLIVER BURGE, carrying on business as Sawmillers at Puketitiri and Hastings under the style or firm of “The Glenorr Timber Company,” was, on the 20th day of July, 1929, dissolved by mutual consent. All debts due to the late firm will be received by Mr. A. E. Palmer, of Hastings, Public Accountant, whose receipt alone will be a good and sufficient discharge, and to whom all claims against the late firm should be rendered.
