✨ Public Works Act Exemptions
The North-western Side of Portion of Hawker Street, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of July, 1929.

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any- wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the twelfth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, viz:-
“ The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the north-western side of all that portion of Hawker Street beginning at its intersection with Majori- banks Street, being that portion of Hawker Street fronting Town Section 379 and part 380, City of Wellington” ; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north- western side of the portion of Hawker Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
The north-western side of all that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Hawker Street, fronting Lots 4, 5, and 7 of a subdivision of Town Section 379 and part Town Section 380. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 76026, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Pasadena Avenue, Portion of Moray Place and Portion of Manor Place, in the City of Auckland, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to Conditions as to the Building-lines.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Auckland City Council on the eleventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, the street and portions of streets affected by such resolution being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, viz:-
“ That the Auckland City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Auckland, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that street known as Pasadena Avenue, adjoining Lots 104 to 122, 124 and 125, 128 to 131, 134 to 140, 148 to 154, and 47 of part Lot 1 of Allotment 27, Parish of Titirangi, nor to that street known as Moray Place, adjoining Lots 131, 127, 133, 134, and part Lots 126 and 132 of part Lot 1 of Allotment 27, Parish of Titirangi, nor to that street known as Manor Place adjoining Lots 140, 141, 145 to 148, and part Lots 142 and 144 of part Lot 1 of Allotment 27, Parish of Titirangi” ;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the street firstly described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of forty feet from the centre-line of the said street nor on the land fronting the portions of streets secondly and thirdly described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-lines of the said portions of streets, with the exception that in respect to Lots 131 and 134 adjoining the portion of street secondly described in the Schedule hereto and Lot 140 adjoining the portion of street thirdly described in the Schedule hereto no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the said Lots 131, 134, and 140 within a distance of twenty-seven feet from the centre-lines of the said portions of streets.
SCHEDULE.
FIRSTLY: All that street in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, known as Pasadena Avenue, adjoining Lots 104 (D.P. 20219), 105 to 122, 124, 125, 128 to 131, 134 to 140, 148 to 154 and Lot 47 (D.P. 19235), of part Lot 1 of Allotment 27, Parish of Titirangi.
Secondly: All that portion of street in the said land district and city known as Moray Place adjoining Lots 131, 127, part 126, part 132, 133 and 134, of part Lot 1 of Allot- ment 27, Parish of Titirangi.
Thirdly : All that portion of street in the said land district and city known as Manor Place adjoining Lots 140, 141, part 142, and 144 to 148, of part Lot 1 of Allotment 27, Parish of Titirangi.
As the said street and portions of streets are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75356, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Nelson City Council on the nineteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, the portion of street affected by such resolution being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, viz:-
“ That the Nelson City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Nelson, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that portion of the street known as Wel- lington Terrace adjoining parts of Section 658 as shown on the plan attached hereto between the points marked ‘A’ and ‘B’”; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the north-western side of the portion of Wellington Terrace (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street; such con- dition being of the same effect as By-law No. 229 of the City of Nelson By-law No. 1 (1916), Part VII, relating to building- lines.
SCHEDULE.
The north-western side of all that portion of street situated in the Nelson Land District, City of Nelson, known as Wellington Terrace, adjoining the parts of Section 658, edged green on the plan hereinafter referred to. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75708, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
