Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said section, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby prescribe that the said sum of eighteen thousand three hundred pounds may be raised in respect of the said loan by the said local authority for a term of twenty years, expiring on the twelfth June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, and the said local authority is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum accordingly.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £2,500 by the Wanganui County Council.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of July, 1929.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Wanganui County Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”), proposes to borrow, in accordance with the provisions of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, the sum of two thousand five hundred pounds for the purpose of reconstructing the Auckland-Wellington Main Highway between Wanganui and Wangaehu, by a loan to be known as “Auckland-Wellington Main Highways Loan, 1929”:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said sum of two thousand five hundred pounds, at such rate or rates of interest as shall not produce to the lenders a rate exceeding the rate of five pounds ten shillings per centum per annum, for a term expiring on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and the said local authority is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum accordingly.

Order in Council authorizing the Purchase by the South Taranaki Electric-power Board of certain Electric Works, the Property of the Hawera County Electric Lighting Company, Ltd.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of July, 1929.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is enacted by section forty-five of the Local Legislation Act, 1926, that the South Taranaki Electric-power Board (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), constituted under the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, may require the Hawera County Electric Lighting Company, Ltd. (hereinafter called “the company”), to sell to the Board the company’s undertaking upon the terms defined by section sixteen of the Hawera County Electric Lighting Act, 1902, as if the Board were named therein instead of the several local authorities therein mentioned as having jurisdiction in the area of supply: And whereas the Board did on the sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, give to the company six months’ previous notice in writing requiring the company so to sell to the Board the company’s undertaking: And whereas the company and the Board were unable to agree upon the amount to be paid by the Board to the company: And whereas the matter was submitted to arbitration in accordance with the said section sixteen of the Hawera County Electric Lighting Act, 1902: And whereas the arbitrators made and published their award on the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine: And whereas the Hawera Borough Council, the Hawera County Council, the Waimate West County Council, the Normanby Town Board, and the Manaia Town Board have given their approval under seal to the agreement for sale and purchase entered into in pursuance of section forty-five of the Local Legislation Act, 1926:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section seventy-six of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, section forty-five of the Local Legislation Act, 1926, and section sixteen of the Hawera County Electric Lighting Act, 1902, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the purchase by the Board of the whole of the undertaking of the company as defined in the award of the Arbitrators dated the eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, on the terms set out in that award.

Vesting the Control of Plantation Reserves in the Horowhenua County Council.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of July, 1929.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been duly set apart for plantation purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserves should be vested in the Horowhenua County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserves in the Horowhenua County Council.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 23·82 perches, more or less, situated in the Town of Waimēha and the Town of Waimēha Extension No. 1, being part of Subdivisions 14c, 76b, and 76a, Ngarara West A Block, Block V, Kaitawa Survey District, and being the whole of the lands marked “Plantation reserve” on deposited plans 6570 and 7462, and coloured red thereon.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a water reserve: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in the Horowhenua County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserve in the Horowhenua County Council.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 19 perches, more or less, situated in the Town of Waimēha, being part of Subdivision 24b and 37, Ngarara West A Block, Block V, Kaitawa Survey District, and being the whole of the land marked “Water reserve” on deposited plans 6570 and 7462 and coloured red thereon.
