Additional Land at Te Awamutu taken for the Purposes of the
Kaipara-Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato
Railway to take further land at Te Awamutu, in addition to
land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections
thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works
Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in
anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 rood 3 perches.
Part of Allotment 70A, Mangapiko Parish, Block II, Puniu
Survey District, Waipa County. (S.O. 25228.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 353, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington,
and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of July, 1929.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), has recommended that
the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient
to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said
Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Great
Barrier Island County, containing by admeasurement 935
acres, more or less, being Allotments 128, 129, 130, 182, and
182A, Aotea Parish; the same being more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 4/550, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon edged red. (North Auckland plan 25209, blue.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of July, 1929.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section
twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles
Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in
Waipu Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 23·2 perches
Adjoining Allotments 23, 26A, N.W. 26 and 174, Wairau
Parish.

Situated in Block IX, Waipu Survey District.
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1642,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2324, and thereon coloured
green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of July, 1929.

Bay Survey District—viz., Dashwood Pass Deviation (Christchurch-Blenheim via Parnassus Main Highway).

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the road desired
to be constructed over Blocks V and X, Taylor Pass Survey
District, and Blocks II, IV, and VII, Clifford Bay Survey
District—viz., Dashwood Pass Deviation (Christchurch-Blenheim via Parnassus Main Highway) shall be that defined
and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at its junction with the Christchurch-Blenheim
via Parnassus Main Highway in Section 23, Block V, Taylor
Pass Survey District, at a point marked 0 miles, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction for a distance
of about 8 miles 1256·3 links, and passing in, into, through,
or over the following lands, &c., viz.: Section 23, Section 1
of Block 2, Block V, Taylor Pass Survey District; Section 17,
Block II, Clifford Bay Survey District; Section 48, Square 28,
Block V, Taylor Pass Survey District; Sections 20 of Block 2
and 19 of Block 2, Block X, Taylor Pass Survey District;
Section 12 of Block 2, Block II, Clifford Bay Survey District;
Sections 25 of Block 2, 13 of Block 2, and 27 of Block 2,
Block IV, Clifford Bay Survey District, Section 2 of Block I,
Blocks IV and VII, Clifford Bay Survey District; and
Section 33, Block VII, Clifford Bay Survey District, and
terminating at a point on the said Christchurch-Blenheim
via Parnassus Main Highway marked 8 miles 1256·3 links;
including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves,
roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in
the Marlborough Land District. As the same is delineated on
the plan marked P.W.D. 75834, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand; and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of July, 1929.

the Borough of Upper Hutt described in the First Schedule
hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the street
described in the Second Schedule hereto.
