Revocation of the Reservation of a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921–22, and pursuant to a resolution in that behalf passed by both Houses of Parliament, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke (so far only as it relates to the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto) the Warrant of the seventeenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, whereby the said land (with certain other land) was set apart as a permanent State forest, and declare that the reservation thereby effected is (so far only as aforesaid) revoked accordingly.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing by admeasurement 32 acres 1 rood 30 perches, being section 26, Block XIV, Pohui Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by a road; towards the east by a road reserve; towards the south by Section 27, Block XIV, Pohui Survey District; and towards the west by Section 1, Block XIV aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan 73/1, deposited at the Head Office, State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of January, 1929.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District containing by admeasurement 199 acres, more or less, being Section 15, Block II, Patoka Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north-east by Sections 7, 5, 4, and 1, Block XIV, Pohui Survey District; towards the south-east by Section 14, Block II, Patoka Survey District; towards the south-west by Bakers Road; and towards the north-west by Sections 20, 19, 18, 17, and 16, Block XIV, Pohui Survey District, and the abutment of a road. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 73/1, deposited in the Head Office, State Forest Service, and thereon bordered green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of January, 1929.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CANTERBURY–OTAGO FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area, containing by admeasurement 80 acres, more or less, being portion of Reserve 3347 (State Forest No. 54, Gazette, 1898, page 1462), situated in Block V, Waimate Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by part Reserve 3347; towards the east generally by a road, R. S. 34341; again by the aforementioned road and R.S.; towards the south generally by the other part of Reserve 3347; and towards the north-west by Run 48. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan number 179/1, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of January, 1929.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 277 acres, more or less, and being part of Reserve No. 3117, situated in Block IV, Alford, and Block I, Spaxton Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Towards the south-east by Rural Section 30091, 4131·9 links; towards the south-west by Small Grazing-run No. 43, 10305·9 links; towards the north-west by other part of Reserve 3117, 1241·3, 1003·7, 989·7 and 275·0 links; and towards the north-east by the Road Reserve along the south bank of the north branch of the Ashburton River, 11380·0, 690·1, 554·9, 503·2, and 81·6 links: As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan No. 150/1, deposited in Head Office, State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of January, 1929.
