Amending a Proclamation setting apart Crown Land as and
for Provisional State Forests.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the fifth day of
July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty, and
published in the Gazette of the ninth day of July, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty (hereinafter referred
to as “the said Proclamation”), certain Crown lands in
Auckland Land District were set apart as and for provisional
State forests in terms of section thirty-four of the War Legis-
lation and Statute Law Amendment Act, 1918 :

And whereas in the said Proclamation an error was made
by describing the boundaries of an area of five hundred
and seventy-five acres, more or less, as being in Blocks IX
and XIII, Hapuakohe Survey District: And whereas the
said area is in Blocks IX and XIII, Waitoa Survey District,
and it is desirable that the error should be rectified :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section three of the Forests Amendment Act,
1925, do hereby amend the said Proclamation by substituting
the description of the said area set forth in the Schedule
hereto for the description of the said area set forth in the
said Proclamation.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-
CONSERVATION REGION.

Provisional State Forest No. 61.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 575 acres, situated in Blocks IX and XIII,
Waitoa Survey District, and bounded generally as follows :
Towards the north by Section 9, Block IX aforesaid ; towards
the north-east by a road ; towards the south by a road and
Sections 9, 8, 7, and 6, Block XIII aforesaid ; towards the
south-west by Hoe-o-Tainui No. 1b Section 3 and No. 1b
Section 4 ; and towards the north-west by Section 12, Block
IX aforesaid. As the same is delineated on plan 26/7, de-
posited in the Head Office, State Forest Service, Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of
January, 1929.

Amending a Proclamation revoking the Reservation of Permanent
State Forests.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the twenty-seventh
day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-eight, and published in the Gazette of the first day
of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight,
page 503, hereinafter referred to as “the said Proclamation,”
the reservation of certain permanent State forests was revoked
in terms of the Forests Act, 1921–22 :

And whereas an error was made in the said Proclamation
by referring therein to a Proclamation of the nineteenth day
of January, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five,
and it is desirable that the error be rectified :

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me
by section three of the Forests Amendment Act, 1925, do
hereby amend the said Proclamation by substituting for the
words “the nineteenth day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-five,” the words “the nineteenth day
of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five.”

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of
January, 1929.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests
Act, 1921–22, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto
as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-
CONSERVATION REGION.

State Forest No. 149.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1,000 acres, more
or less, being the Opango Block, situated in Block III, Thames
Survey District, and Block I, Tairua Survey District, and
bounded generally as follows : Towards the north by the
Tarawaere Stream and the Waiwhakaurunga Block ; towards
the south-east by the Piraunui Block and the Hihi Stream ;
towards the south-west by the Waiwhakaurunga Block and the
Marorauririki Stream ; again towards the south-east by the
Marorauririki Stream ; and towards the north-west by the
Waiwhakaurunga River : As the same is more particularly
delineated on Plan No. 23/3, deposited in the Head Office,
State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of
January, 1929.
