IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution, signed by all members of the company, is entered in the minute-book :—

“ That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. R. G. MILLIGAN, of 60 Shortland Street, Auckland, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator.”

WAIMATE COUNTY COUNCIL.

IN accordance with the provisions of section 5 of the Water-supply Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that the Waimate County Council has duly appointed the following to be members of the Lower Waihao Water-race Managing Ratepayers Committee, and that it has conferred on such Committee all the powers of management it possesses in respect of all water-races supplying the Lower Waihao Water-race District, viz. :—

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Stratford Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £1,650 authorized to be raised by the

Stratford Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, to be called “ The Stratford Borough Council Domain Improvement Loan of £1,650, 1929,” for the purpose of carrying-out improvements to the King Edward Park Domain, including the erection of a caretaker’s house, a pavilion, sanitary conveniences and necessary drainage, a cookhouse, and the construction of roadways and paths, the said Stratford Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eleventh of a penny (1/11th d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Stratford; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Stratford Borough Council held on Monday, the 17th day of June, 1929.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other Acts and powers it in this behalf enabling, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves on the 20th day of June, 1929, as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) to be known as “The Wellington City Unemployment Loan, 1929, No. 2,” authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of carrying out public works for the relief of unemployment—namely, street-construction and improvement works in the following streets :—

Brooklyn Road, Washington Avenue, New Road Thompson Street to Brooklyn Road, McColl Street, Haughton Bay Road, View Road, Rongotai Terrace, Awa Road, Darling-ton Road, Nevay Road, Newport Terrace, Maida Vale Road, West Road, Wilton Road, Wadestown Road, Wade Street Extension, Birdwood Street, Braithwaite Street, Ganges Road, Khandallah Road, Ngaio Gorge Road, Fortunatus Street, Bristol Street, Buckingham Street, Ridgway Street, Farnham Street, Mills Road, Hector Street, Pleasure-ground formation at Kaiwarra Park and Nairnville Park, and tree-planting on City reserves,—

the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fortieth of a penny (1/40d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years from the thirtieth day of June, 1929, or until the loan is fully paid off.
