In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of PILKINGTON’S MOTOR SERVICE, LIMITED.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company at Akaroa on Wednesday, the 12th day of June, 1929, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that CLARENCE CYRIL HOLLAND, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.”

THE creditors of the above-named company are required on or before the 1st day of July, 1929, to send their names and addresses, and the particulars of their debts or claims, and the names and addresses of their solicitors, if any, to CLARENCE CYRIL HOLLAND, the Liquidator of the said company, and, if so required by notice in writing from the said Liquidator, are to prove their said debts and claims at the time and place specified in such notice, or, in default thereof, they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.

LYTTELTON HARBOUR BOARD.

In the matter of the Lyttelton Harbour Board Act Amendment Act, 1878; and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928, sections 22 and 23.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lyttelton Harbour Board, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 4 of the Lyttelton Harbour Board Act Amendment Act, 1878 (wherein it was declared that the Board, for harbour-works and purposes with respect to the streets and roads described in the Schedule thereto, should have all the powers of taking roads, streets, and lands which a Road Board had under the Public Works Act, 1876, or any Act amending the same of taking land for public works) proposes to take the parcels of land described in the said Schedule, namely :—

All that portion of Godley Quay and of the Beach Road (containing 2 acres and 10 perches) commencing at the south-east corner of Town Section No. 234 and extending along that quay and road to the south-east corner of that portion of Rural Section No. 714 occupied as Domain and Recreation Reserve, also the cross street leading from Godley Quay to Brittan Terrace.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the land required to be taken and the names of the owners and occupiers of such land as far as they can be ascertained is deposited at the office of the Lyttelton Harbour Board, Lyttelton, where the same remains open for public inspection daily without fee during all reasonable hours.

And notice is also given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objection to the taking of such lands or any of them, or to the execution of such work, set forth in writing such objection, and send such writing within forty days from the 13th day of June, 1929, being the date of the first publication of this notice, addressed to the Chairman of the Lyttelton Harbour Board at the said office of the Board at Lyttelton.
