Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the cost of purchasing and improving a block of land at Greenhithe, being Lots Nos. 56, 57, and 58 on deposited plan No. 13702, being portion of Allotments Nos. 24, 34, 79, and 205 of the Parish of Paremoremo, in the Birkenhead Riding of the County of Waitemata, and part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Vol. 393, folio 153, of the books at the Auckland Registry, the Waitemata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-sixteenths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Greenhithe Recreation-ground Special Loan Area, constituted by special order confirmed on the 22nd day of May, 1929; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th days of September and March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-four years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution of the Waitemata County Council, passed at a meeting held on the 22nd day of May, 1929.

NOTICE OF FINAL MEETING.

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of members of the above-named company will be held at the registered office, Carlton Chambers, High Street, Dunedin, on Tuesday, the 23rd day of July, 1929, at 4 o’clock p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the assets of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loan Act, 1926, the Council of the Borough of Hawera hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment with interest and other charges of a loan of £5,000 authorized to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying off the special loan of six thousand two hundred pounds (£6,200) heretofore raised by the Council, which becomes due and payable on the 12th day of July, 1929, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-hundred-and-sixty-two/one-thousandths (162/1,000ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of that portion only of the rateable property of the Borough of Hawera comprising the whole of the Borough of Hawera as originally constituted and described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1882, Volume 1, page 5; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of the month of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Council of the Borough of Hawera hereby resolves as follows.—

That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment with interest and other charges of a loan of £12,000 authorized to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying off the special loan of £12,850 heretofore raised by the Council, which becomes due and payable on the 16th day of January, 1930, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-hundred-and-eighty-nine/one-thousandths (389/1,000ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of that portion only of the rateable property of the Borough of Hawera comprising the whole of the Borough of Hawera as originally constituted and described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1882, Volume 1, page 5, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of the month of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, carrying on business as Licensed Second-hand and Furniture Dealers, in Heretaunga Street, Hastings, under the style or firm of “Taylor and Graves,” was this day dissolved by mutual consent, on which day the undersigned ROBERT GRAVES retired from the said business; and that henceforth the said business will be conducted by the undersigned WALTER TAYLOR on his own behalf.

All debts owing to the said Partnership should be paid to the said WALTER TAYLOR, whose receipt will be a sufficient discharge for same.
