IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company, held on the 22nd day of April, 1929, the following resolution was duly passed :—
“ That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same.”
And at the same meeting HENRY GILFILLAN and JAMES ALEXANDER GENTLES, of Auckland, Public Accountants, were appointed Liquidators for the purposes of such winding-up.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL.
COPY OF RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL ON WEDNESDAY, 17TH APRIL, 1929.
Making Special Rate as Security for Gasworks Special Loan of £13,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £13,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying in part a Gasworks Loan of £17,100, maturing on the 1st April, 1929, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

AUCKLAND TRANSPORT BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Auckland Transport Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,853,000, authorized to be raised under the above-mentioned Act by the Auckland Transport Board Act, 1928, for the purpose of repaying to the Auckland City Council the total amount of loan indebtedness of such Council in relation to the said Council’s tramway and motor-omnibus undertaking, in pursuance of the provisions of section 57 of the Auckland Transport Board Act, 1928, the said Auckland Transport Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 9/16ths of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the Auckland Transport District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan—namely, until the 1st day of December, 1960, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SUBURBAN HOMES AND INVESTMENT CO., LTD.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and in the matter of SUBURBAN HOMES AND INVESTMENT CO., LTD., a public company incorporated under the above Act.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of shareholders of the above-named company held at Auckland on the 26th April, 1929, the following resolution was passed :—
“ That the company go into voluntary liquidation, and that ALEXANDER HOWEY WALKER, Dentist, of Auckland, and ROBERT MURRAY CROCKETT, Public Accountant, of Auckland, be appointed Liquidators for the purpose of such winding-up.”
Notice is hereby given that all creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before 18th May, 1929, to send in their names and addresses, and the particulars of their claims to the Liquidators, G.P.O. Box 965, Auckland; and, if so required by notice in writing from the Liquidators, are to come in and prove their claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such claims are proved.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and in the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitomo County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the formation and construction of a new piece of road—and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said parcel of land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate in Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti, and is open for inspection (without any fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said parcel of land who have any well-founded objections to the execution of the public work or to the taking of the said parcel of land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice—namely, the 7th day of May, 1929—to the Clerk of the said Council, at the County Offices, Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti.
