the south-easternmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 6560, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction generally along the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 2 and the south-eastern, eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of the Township of Seatoun to the eastern side of Hector Street as shown on deeds plan 110; thence towards the east, north-east, and west by the area of Crown land formerly set apart for the purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919, and described in Gazette of the 16th August, 1923; and again towards the north-east by the aforesaid side of Hector Street and the continuation thereof to the high-water mark of Port Nicholson; thence towards the south-east and west generally by the said high-water mark of Port Nicholson to the south-easternmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 6560, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan numbered 32/46, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered red.

Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Block I, Pomahaka Survey District, Otago Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of April, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for a resting-place for stock:

And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a site for a war memorial:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of that portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for a resting-place for stock to a reserve for a site for a war memorial.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 14 perches, more or less, being Section 46, Block I, Pomahaka Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of Section 41, Block I, Pomahaka Survey District, bearing 341° 18′, and distant 71 links from Peg IX on the eastern boundary of said Section 41; thence by right lines 262° 51′, 354·4 links; 352° 51′, 98·7 links; 82° 51′, 334·3 links, to a public road; thence by that road 161° 18′, 100·8 links to the point of commencement: Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked L. and S. 1/653, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Consenting to stopping Road in Block II, Te Mata Survey District, Hawke’s Bay County.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of April, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Hawke’s Bay County Council stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped: 3 acres 0 roods 32·7 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Lot 1 of Section 2, Kakiraawa Block.

Situated in Block II, Te Mata Survey District (Hawke’s Bay R.D.). (S.O. 954, green.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75014, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 24th day of April, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of a mental hospital.


SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken: 700 acres.

Being Section XV, Suburban South, Block VII; parts Sections X and XIX, Suburban South, Block VII; part Section 67, Square 1, Block VII; parts Section VIII, Suburban South, Block VIII; Sections 64, 65, 66, Square 1, Block VIII.

Situated in Waimea Survey District.

In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 75192, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

John William Blakely,
William Alexander Chirnside,
Samuel Cunningham Greer,
John James Johnston,
Robert McSkimming,
Frank Ledingham Thurlow, and
John Thomas Wilson

to be the Patearoa Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public Hall, Patearoa, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
