Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Waipa County Council is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Owairaka Extension Special-rating Area of the County of Waipa taken on the 8th day of March, 1929, on the proposal of the Waipa County Council to borrow the sum of £750 for the purpose for forming, culverting, widening, and gravelling for the first time of roads in the Owairaka Extension Special-rating Area.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 14; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated at Te Awamutu, this 27th day of March, 1929.

RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE SOUTH INVERCARGILL BOROUGH COUNCIL AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, 4TH MARCH, 1929.
Moved by Councillor Jones and seconded by Councillor Hewit : “ That, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the South Invercargill Borough Council decides by way of special order that the representation of Councillors be four members for the Outer Ward and two members for the Inner Ward, and that this resolution be confirmed at a special meeting of the Council to be held in the Council Chambers, Elles Road, South Invercargill, on Wednesday, 3rd April, 1929, at 7.30 p.m., when the day upon which the said special order shall come into effect will be fixed, the date proposed being the date of Gazette notice.”—Carried.
