IS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Military Forces.
N.Z. ARMY ORDNANCE CORPS.
Captain H. H. Whyte resigns his appointment and is posted to the Retired List. Dated 4th April, 1929.
COMMAND.
The period of command of Major R. McPherson, 11th F d Battery, N.Z.A., is extended to 31st May, 1929.
THE CANTERBURY YEOMANRY CAVALRY.
John Melville Scott to be Bandmaster, with the honorary rank of Lieutenant. Dated 22nd March, 1929.
THE OTAGO MOUNTED RIFLES.
Captain J. D. McArthur, from the Nelson-Marlborough Mounted Rifles, to be Captain, with seniority as from the 4th August, 1926. Dated 20th March, 1929.
THE NELSON-MARLBOROUGH MOUNTED RIFLES.
Captain J. D. McArthur is transferred to the Otago Mounted Rifles. Dated 20th March, 1929.
CORPS OF N.Z. ENGINEERS.

Harold Reginald Harris to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 13th March, 1929.

Robert Henry Craig Mackenzie to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 3rd C Battalion. Dated 23rd March, 1929.
THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.
The seniority of Lieutenant E. P. Wills, 1st C Battalion, is antedated to 19th November, 1926.
THE HAWKE’S BAY REGIMENT.
Lieutenant H. T. Ferris, 4th C Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 7. Dated 23rd March, 1929.
Stanley Thomas Holmes to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation), and is posted to the 4th C Battalion. Dated 23rd March, 1929.
THE NELSON, MARLBOROUGH, AND WEST COAST REGIMENT.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) E. St. John, 2nd C Battalion, is confirmed.
