NOTICE is hereby given that the leases and licenses of the undermentioned lands having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said lands have thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

Lands in Taranaki Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 25th March, 1929.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on Wednesday, 24th April, 1929, at 2 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of section 152 of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
Waitomo County.—Pahi Survey District.

Lot 1 of Section 2, Block III: Area, 20 acres 0 roods 28 perches; upset annual rental, £25.

This section is situated at end of Waimiha Road, and comprises the old mill-site and access road previously held by Mr. T. Sowersby.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF LEASE.

  1. Six months rent at the rate offered, together with £1 1s. (lease fee), must be paid on the fall of the hammer.
  2. The lease is for a term of twelve years, with no right of renewal.
  3. Residence is not compulsory. No compensation will be allowed for any improvements effected; but the lessee, on the expiration or sooner determination of the lease, contingent on the terms and conditions being complied with, may remove any buildings erected on the area.
  4. The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of noxious weeds, and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove or cause to be removed all noxious weeds as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
  5. The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance, free from all deductions whatever.
  6. The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the land comprised in the lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.
  7. The lessor accepts no responsibility for the upkeep of the access road leading from the end of the Waimiha Road to the sawmill-site.
  8. The lease shall be liable to forfeiture if the lessee fails to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within twenty-one days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.
