the side of a public road; thence in a north-westerly and
north-easterly direction along the side of that road to a road
junction, the northernmost corner of the aforementioned
Allotment 158, crossing said road to the southernmost corner
of Allotment 144, continuing in a north-easterly direction
along the side of the road forming the south-east boundary
of the said Allotment 144 to its eastern boundary; thence
in a northerly direction by the eastern boundary of the said
Allotment 144 and Allotments 143, 142, 141, and 140 to and
across a public road to the south-east corner of Allotment
117, Block I, Opotiki Survey District; thence in a north-
easterly direction along the side of the said road forming
the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Allotment 117
and Allotments 116, 110, 109, 108, and 107, and crossing
the road to the south-east corner of Allotment 104, Block I,
Opotiki Survey District; thence by the eastern boundaries
of the aforesaid Allotment 104 and Allotments 102, 101, and
94 to the sea in Block I, Opotiki Survey District; thence
in an easterly direction along the seashore to the place of
commencement.

WAIOEKA RIDING.

All that area in the Gisborne Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the seashore, the north-west
corner of Otara Riding, situated in Block V, Waiawa Survey
District, proceeding in a southerly and westerly direction
generally by the western boundary of the Otara Riding,
hereinafter described, to the north-east corner of Allotment
367, Waioeka Parish, situated in Block XI, Opotiki Survey
District; thence in a westerly direction generally by the
northern boundary of the Upper Waioeka Riding, herein-
before described, to the Waioeka River; thence in a northerly
direction by the right bank of the Waioeka River to the
south boundary of the Borough of Opotiki; thence due east
by the said south boundary of the Borough of Opotiki to
the left bank of the Otara River; thence in a north-westerly
direction generally by the left bank of the Otara River and
by the Opotiki Harbour to the sea; thence easterly along
the seashore to the place of commencement.

Riding in the Opotiki County.

UPPER WAIOEKA RIDING.

All that area in the Gisborne Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point the north-east corner of Allotment
367, Waioeka Parish, situated in Block XI, Opotiki Survey
District, proceeding in a southerly direction generally along
the western boundary of the Otara Riding, hereinafter
described, till it intersects the north-western boundary of
the Waikohu County, the south-east corner of Block XIV,
Urutawa Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direc-
tion by the north-western boundary of the aforesaid Waikohu
County to the centre of the Koranga Stream, and following
the description as contained in Waikohu Counties Act, 1908
(No. 23); thence in a north-westerly direction down the
centre of the said Koranga Stream and Waioeka River to
a point where the Waioeka River intersects the southern
block boundary-line of Block VII, Waioeka South Survey
District; thence due west by the south boundary-lines of
Blocks VII and VI, Waioeka South Survey District, to the
south-western corner of the aforesaid Block VI; thence due
north by the west boundary-lines of Blocks VI and II, Waioeka
South Survey District, Blocks XIV, X, VI, and II, Waioeka
Survey District, to a public road known as Appleton's Road,
continuing in a northerly direction along the centre of that
road to the Waioeka Road, which road is contiguous to
the western, northern, and eastern boundaries of Sections 2,
3, and 1, Block X, Opotiki Survey District, intersects bound-

ary of Allotment 492, Waiotahi Parish, and adjoins the
north boundary of Allotment 492, Waiotahi Parish, and
intersects Allotments 393 and 392, Waiotahi Parish; thence
in an easterly direction by a public road forming the northern
boundaries of Allotments 391, 498, Waiotahi Parish, to and
across the Waioeka River, continuing in an easterly direction
by the aforementioned road forming the northern boundaries
of Allotments 337, 364A, 365A, 366, and 367, Waioeka Parish,
to the place of commencement.

Waioeka Riding in the Opotiki County.

OTARA RIDING.

All that area in the Gisborne Land District bounded by a
line commencing at a point on the seashore, the north-
western corner Awaawakino Block, situated in Block I,
Waiawa Survey District, proceeding in a south-easterly
north-easterly, and easterly direction generally by the
southern boundary of the Coast Riding, hereinafter de-
scribed, to where the Ruatahunga Stream intersects the
western boundary of the Waiapu County in Block IX,
Hikurangi Survey District; thence in a south-westerly
direction generally by the western boundary of the afore-
mentioned Waiapu County and by the north-western bound-
ary of the Waikohu County to the eastern boundary of
Section 13, Block XIV, Urutawa Survey District; thence
in a northerly and westerly direction generally by the eastern
and northern boundaries of the aforesaid Section 13 and by
the northern boundary of Section 16 of Block XIV, Urutawa
Survey District; by the northern boundaries of Section 15
Block XIII, Urutawa Survey District, and Sections 14 and
14A, Block XVI, Waioeka Survey District, to the point where
the northern boundary of 14A intersects the eastern boundary
of Section 3, Block XII, Waioeka Survey District; thence
in a north-westerly direction generally by the north-eastern
and northern boundaries of the aforesaid Section 3 and
Sections 2 and 4 of Block XII, Waioeka Survey District, to
the centre of a public road; thence in a northerly direction
along the centre of that road forming the western boundaries
of Sections 4 and 3, Block VIII, Waioeka Survey District,
to the centre of the Tutaetoko Stream, continuing in a
northerly direction down the centre of that stream to the
confiscation-line; thence in a westerly direction along the
said confiscation-line to the western corner of Section 7,
Block III, Waioeka Survey District; thence in a northerly
direction generally by the north-western boundary of the
said Section 7, by the western and northern boundaries of
Section 2, Block XI, Opotiki Survey District, and by the
western and north-western boundaries of Section 10, Block
XII, Opotiki Survey District, to the south-western boundary
of Allotment 325, Waioeka Parish; thence in a south-
easterly direction by the southern boundary of the aforesaid
Allotment 325 and Allotments 326, 327, 328, 329, and 330
to the southernmost corner of the said Allotment 330,
Waioeka Parish; thence in a north-easterly direction by the
south-eastern boundaries of the aforesaid Allotment 330 and
342, Waioeka Parish, to the southern boundary of Section 3
(E.R.), Block VIII, Opotiki Survey District; thence in an
easterly and northerly direction by the southern boundaries
and by the centre of the road forming the eastern boundary
of the said Section 3 and Section 2, Block VIII, Opotiki
Survey District, to the south-west corner of Allotment 360,
Waioeka Parish; thence in an easterly, north-easterly, and
northerly direction generally by the southern boundary of
the aforesaid Allotment 360, and by the south-eastern bound-
ary of Allotment 271, Waioeka Parish, by the south-eastern
boundaries of Opape 6J 2 and 6K, by the north-eastern
boundaries of the aforesaid 6K and 6J 1, 6H, 6G, 6F, 6E, and
6D, Opape Block, to the side of a public road; thence along
the side of the said road and by the south-eastern boundaries
of 5B1B3, 5B2, 5E2B, 5E2A and part 5A, Section 2, and by
the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Papa-
kainga-Opape Block to the centre of a public road; thence
in a northerly direction along the centre of that road, and
crossing the main coast road to the seashore in Block V,
Waiawa Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direc-
tion along the seashore to the place of commencement.
