portion of the Waikato County, together with the portions
of the Piako and Matamata Counties, described in the First
Schedule to the Proclamation altering the boundaries of the
Thames Valley and Cambridge Electric-power Boards, dated
the thirtieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette,
No. 67, of the sixth day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-three, shall be a combined district, and
that the said portion of the Waikato County shall be the
principal local authority in that combined district for the
purposes of the said Act; and doth also determine that the
said combined district shall be entitled to two representatives
as members of the said Board.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the City of Wellington
of a Width of less than 66 ft. but not less than 40 ft., subject
to a Condition as to the Building-line.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of
February, 1929.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, the Public Works Act,
1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this
behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
authorize the Wellington City Council to permit the laying-off
of the proposed street, described in the Schedule hereto, of a
width of less than sixty-six feet but not less than forty feet,
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on Lots 6 to 23 fronting the said
street within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-line
of the said street nor on Lots 2 and 3 fronting the said street
within a distance of thirty feet from the centre-line of the said
street.


SCHEDULE.

THAT proposed street in the Wellington Land District, City of
Wellington, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 34 perches,
being part of Lot 3, deeds plan 12, part section 37, Karori
District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 72721, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
red.

Amending the Order in Council authorizing the Lyttelton
Borough Council to erect Electric-lines within the Borough
of Lyttelton.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of
February, 1929.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the license issued
to the Lyttelton Borough Council on the twelfth day of
March, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and pub-
lished in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-second day of
the same month, by revoking therein the words “twenty-ninth
day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen,” and
substituting the words “twelfth day of July, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-seven, or any regulations herein-
after passed in amendment thereof or substitution therefor,”

and by revoking clause two of the Schedule thereof and
adding thereto the following clause:—

“ 2. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.

“ (1) The system of supply shall be as described in para-
graphs (a) and (e) of clause 5 of the Electrical Supply
Regulations, 1927.

“ (2) Electrical energy shall be received from the Lake
Coleridge supply at a pressure not exceeding 11,000 volts,
and shall be distributed at this pressure, or transformed
down for distribution on the three-phase system at any
pressure below 11,000 volts.”

A New Street, off Evans Street, in the Borough of Timaru,
exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public
Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-
line.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 11th day of
February, 1929.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE SIR J. G. WARD, PRESIDING
IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following
resolution passed by the Timaru Borough Council on the
seventeenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-eight, viz.:—

“ That the Timaru Borough Council, being the local
authority having control of the streets in the Borough of
Timaru, by resolution declares that the provisions of
section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works
Act, 1928, shall not apply to that street, off Evans Street,
in the Canterbury Land District, Borough of Timaru,
containing by admeasurement 2 roods 33·3 perches, more
or less, being part Lot 56 on deposit plan 3808, part Rural
Section 1701, and being Lot 26 on deposit plan 9153, and
part of the land in Certificate of Title Register-book, Vol.
359, folio 24; as the same is more particularly delineated
on the plan marked P.W.D. 70904, deposited in the office
of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building
shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the street
(described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of forty
feet from the centre-line of the said street.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that new street, off Evans Street, in the Canterbury Land
District, Borough of Timaru, adjoining or passing through
part Lot 56, D.P. 3808, and being Lot 26 on D.P. 9153.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked P.W.D. 74229, deposited in the office of the Minister
of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
