Postmasters appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.
Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Appointment of Judges to Constitute Election Court for Trial of Election Petition.
IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.
In the matter of the Electoral Act, 1927.
In exercise of the powers vested in me by the Electoral Act, 1927, I, Charles Perrin Skerrett, K.C.M.G., Chief Justice of New Zealand, do hereby nominate
The Honourable Alexander Lawrence Herdman and
The Honourable Henry Hubert Ostler,
two of the Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, to constitute the Election Court before whom shall take place the trial of the election petition, that is to say—
The petition of John William McAulay, of Okaihau, Farmer, against the return of Harold Montague Rushworth, as a member of Parliament for the Electoral District of the Bay of Islands, praying that it may be determined that the said Harold Montague Rushworth was not duly elected or returned and that the election was void.
