KEANE'S FURNITURE, LIMITED.

THE COMPANIES ACT, 1908.

THE following is a copy of a special resolution passed at a
meeting of all shareholders of KEANE'S FURNITURE,
LIMITED, held on Thursday, the 29th November, 1928.

"That the company go into voluntary liquidation, and that
SYDNEY ROBERT MASSAM and HAROLD GREY KEANE be and
are hereby appointed Liquidators."

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership heretofore carried on between WILLIAM
JOHN ASHFORD and NICHOLAS HOCKIN ASHFORD, as
Tobacconists and Hairdressers, at 3 France Street, Auckland,
has been dissolved by mutual agreement as from the 29th
November, 1928. The business will be carried on by the
former, who will meet all liabilities.

THE WAIKAWA SAWMILLING CO., LTD.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of
the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the
members of the above-named company will be held at the
company's office at 49 Vogel Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the
14th day of December, 1928, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, for
the purpose of having an account laid before them showing
the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and
the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any
explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of
determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which
the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of
the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore
subsisting between MARY MATHESON and JAMES
HOLLOWS, carrying on business at Roseneath, near Kurow,
under the style or firm name of "Matheson and Hollows" has
been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 13th day of
November, 1928.

All debts due to the said firm are to be paid to the said
Mary Matheson, and all debts owing by the said firm are to
be paid by the said Mary Matheson, who will continue to carry
on the said business on her own account.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the members of the above-named company,
duly convened and held at Auckland on the 10th day of
November, 1928, the following special resolution was duly
passed:-

"That the company be wound up voluntarily";
and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the
members of the said company, also duly convened and held

at Auckland, on the 26th day of November, 1928, the above-
mentioned special resolution was duly confirmed, and STANLEY

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general
meeting of the above-named company held at its
registered office on the 23rd day of November, 1928, the
following resolution was passed by entry in the minute-book
in accordance with the provisions of section 168 (6) of the
Companies Act, 1908, viz. :-

"It is hereby resolved that the company be wound up
voluntarily forthwith, and that Mr. R. C. Ross be and he is
hereby appointed Liquidator, and that his remuneration
be according to the standard scale of fees as adopted by the
New Zealand Society of Accountants."

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Christ-
church Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £242,500, authorized to be raised by
the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of laying sewers and other works incidental
thereto, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of 27/64ths of a penny in the pound
upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property within
the area described in Schedule B of a resolution of the Board
bearing date the 17th day of April, 1928, and published in
the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 of the 26th day of April, 1923,
and as added to by resolutions of the Board bearing date the
15th day of February, 1927, and the 21st day of June, 1927,
and published in the New Zealand Gazette Nos. 11 and 54 of
the 3rd day of March, 1927, and the 28th day of July, 1927,
respectively; and that special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
