Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.—Declaration by the Assistant Registrar dissolving a Society.

I, WALTER HAROLD FLETCHER, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Palmerston North Metal Carters Association (Incorporated) is no longer carrying on its operations and has become defunct, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale for cash by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, 17th January, 1929, at 11.30 o’clock a.m., under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

These sections are situated in the Waikoau Township on the Esk Valley—Tutira Road, being adjacent to the Waikoau Railway-station on the East Coast Main Trunk Railway. The distance from Napier by road is about twenty-six miles and by rail twenty-three miles.

There is a daily railway service between Napier and Waikoau for passengers and goods, but the portion of line between Eskdale and Waikoau is still controlled by the Public Works Department.

Lake Tutira, a potential scenic resort, possessing natural charm and beauty, is distant about four miles and within easy access by rail and by a good formed metalled road.

The sections for the most part are practically flat and suitable for residential-sites.

TERMS OF SALE.

One-fifth of the purchase-money on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, together with £1 (Crown-grant fee), within thirty days thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and the sale of the land declared null and void.

Titles will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.

NOTICE is hereby given that written tenders for leases of the lands described in the Schedules hereto will be received at this office up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, the 18th day of December, 1928, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, and amendments, in the case of the sections in the First Schedule, and under the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and amendments, in the case of the reserves in the Second Schedule.


SCHEDULES.

GISBORNE LAND DISTRICT.

FIRST SCHEDULE (CROWN LAND).

Uawa County, Buckley Township (Tolaga.)

SECTIONS 1 to 14, Block VI : Area, 3 acres 2 roods. Upset annual rental, £2.

Sections 17 and 19, Block VI : Area, 2 roods. Upset annual rental, £1.

SECOND SCHEDULE (RESERVES).

Sections 1 to 16, Block XVI : Area, 4 acres 0 roods 3 perches. Upset annual rental, £2.

Municipal Reserve, Block XVII : Area, 3 acres 3 roods 5 perches. Upset annual rental, £1 10s.

Abstract of Terms and Conditions of Lease.

  1. Term of lease, five years, without right of renewal.
  2. One half-year’s rent, together with £1 1s. (lease fee) must be deposited with tender.
  3. No declaration is required. Residence and improvements not compulsory. No compensation shall be claimed by the lessee, nor shall any be allowed by the Crown on account of any improvements effected by the lessee, but on the expiry or sooner determination of the lease, the lessee will be allowed a reasonable time in which to remove any improvements to which he is entitled.
  4. Possession will be given on the 1st January, 1929, from which date the rent will commence.
  5. The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance.
  6. The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the land comprised in the lease, except with the consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.
  7. The lessee shall have the right to use the land comprised in the lease for grazing and cropping purposes only.
  8. All persons duly authorized in that behalf shall have free right of ingress, egress, and regress for such purposes as the Commissioner of Crown Lands may deem expedient.
  9. The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbriar on the land; and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all gorse, sweetbriar, broom, ragwort, or other noxious weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
  10. The lessee shall destroy all rabbits on the land, and he shall prevent their spread to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
  11. No noxious, noisome, or offensive trade to be carried on upon the land.
  12. The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the lease within thirty days after the date on which the same ought to be fulfilled.

Highest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
