Closing Public Cemeteries in the Waitaki County.—

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1928.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it appears to the Governor-General that burials in the public cemeteries in the Waitaki County, which said cemeteries are described in the Schedule hereto, should be wholly discontinued:
And whereas sufficient cemeteries not within the limits of any borough or town district have been provided, and have been prepared for the interment of the dead as required by the Cemeteries Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Dominion of New Zealand, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, doth hereby order and direct that from and after the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, the public cemeteries in the Waitaki County described in the Schedule hereto shall be closed and burials therein discontinued; and, further, that the said cemeteries shall, from and after the said first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine, be vested in the Waitaki County Council under the provisions and for the purposes of section seventy-eight of the Cemeteries Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.
PUBLIC CEMETERIES, OTAGO LAND DISTRICT, WAITAKI COUNTY.
SECTION 2, Block VIII, Ohau River Survey District: Area, 1 acre, more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/536, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Also part Section 12, Block I, Benmore Survey District: Area, 4 perches, more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/536A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of a Native School in Block I, Whakatane Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 30th day of November, 1928.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of a Native school.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken:
2 roods.
Being part Lot 29J No. 1, Parish of Rangitaiki.
Situated in Block I, Whakatane Survey District. (S.O. 24244.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 67414, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of a Ballast-pit in Block XVI, Manganui Survey District.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes of ballast-pit.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waipa County Council stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.
