Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be a scenic reserve under the said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 32 perches, more or less, being Section 6R, Block II, Alton Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 650A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of November, 1928.

Proclaiming a Road-line laid out through Paehinahina No. 2 Block, and Lots 2 and 3, Tapuaekura Block, Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was by an order of the Native Land Court made on the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, duly laid off as a road-line, in pursuance of sections forty-eight and fifty-two of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913:

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act:

And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914:

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-eight of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1927, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road:—

1 2 22 Lot 2, Tapuaekura Block; coloured blue.

Situated in Block XI, Rotoiti Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1571, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2269, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of November, 1928.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

State Forest No. 148.

(799 acres.)

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 799 acres, more or less, being Sections 7, 9, 10, and 12, Block XVI, Waoku Survey District, bounded generally as follows: Towards the north by Section 5, Block XVI, Waoku Survey District; towards the east by the old Opanake–Hokianga Road; towards the south by Section 14, Block XVI, Waoku Survey District; and towards the west by Sections 13, 11, 8, and 6, Block XVI aforesaid: As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 7/9, deposited in the Head Office, State Forest Service, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of December, 1928.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the roads in the Town of Pembroke, described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of roads closed:—

0 1 11 Crown land and Section 4, Block XV.
4 3 14 Sections 1 to 4 (inclusive), Block, XV; Sections 1 to 4 (inclusive), Block, XIV; Sections 1 to 6 (inclusive), and 13 and 14, Block, XVI; and Sections 1, and 3 to 10 (inclusive), Block XVII.

Situated in the Town of Pembroke.

In the Otago Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/173, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2282, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of November, 1928.
