NOTICE is hereby given that the Waitomo County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the closing of a road and the construction of a new road in lieu thereof—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the First Part of the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and that portion of the land described in the Second Part of the Schedule hereto is required to be stopped: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken and that portion of the road so proposed to be stopped is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situated in Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land or by the stopping of such part of the road who may have any well-grounded objection to the execution of such public work or to the taking of such land or to the stopping of such road must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice—namely, the 4th day of February, 1928—to the County Clerk, at the County Council Chambers, Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and of the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, to acquire certain land as a metal reserve—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Whakatane County Council, situated at Whakatane, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Clerk of the said Council at the said office.
