In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908, and of the KAMO COLLIERIES, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 19th day of January, 1928, presented to the Honourable Mr. Justice Reed, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by the Kamo Potteries, Limited, a company duly incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908, and having its registered office at Whangarei, a creditor of the said company, and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court in Chambers at the Supreme Court at Auckland on Friday, the 17th day of February, 1928, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

Under the Public Works Act, 1908, and in the matter of the taking under the said Act by the Greymouth Borough Council of certain lands for the purposes of a road.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Greymouth Borough Council, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road as part of Shakespeare Street in the Town of Greymouth—and for the purpose of such work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Greymouth Borough Council, Mackay Street, Greymouth, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Greymouth Borough Council at its said office at Greymouth.

Approximate area of the parcel of land required to be taken: 17·4 perches.
Being portion of Subdivision D of Section 1423.
Situated in Block 18a. Survey District of Greymouth.
Shown on plan marked “A.” Outlined on plan in green.
Situate in Borough of Greymouth. Westland Registration District.

In the Westland Land District, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and outlined as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Greymouth Borough Council, Mackay Street, Greymouth, in the Westland Provincial District.

NOTICE is hereby given that the office in New Zealand of THE BRITISH IMPERIAL OIL COMPANY (N.Z.), LIMITED, has been changed from the Huddart Parker Building, Post-office Square, Wellington, to the A.M.P. Building, situated at Nos. 88–96 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, and as from the date of this notice legal process of every kind may be served on the company, and notices of any kind may be addressed to the company at the latter address.

NOTICE is hereby given that by entry in the minute-book of the company, pursuant to section 168 of the Companies Act, 1908, on the 2nd day of February, 1928, the following resolutions were passed:—

(1) “That it having been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, it is advisable to wind up the same, and that the company be wound up accordingly.

(2) “That Mr. THOMAS COMPTON WARD, of Wellington, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed of the company for the purposes of such winding-up.”
