NOTICE is hereby given that I, JOHN WILFRED LLEWELLYN WARREN, of the City of Auckland, Engineer, intend to present a petition to the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington, praying that the above-mentioned Letters Patent be extended for a further term: And notice is hereby given that I intend to apply to the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington on Wednesday, the 28th day of March, 1928, for a day to be fixed before which the said petition shall not be heard: And notice is hereby given that any persons desirous of being heard in opposition to the prayer of the said petition must, before the said Wednesday, the 28th day of March, 1928, lodge notice of such opposition in the office of the Supreme Court at Wellington, and serve a copy thereof at the office of my solicitors, Messrs. Findlay, Hoggard, Cousins, and Wright, 197 Lambton Quay, Wellington: And notice is hereby further given that the office of the said Messrs. Findlay, Hoggard, Cousins, and Wright is the address for service on me of any document of which service upon me is required in accordance with the Rules of the Supreme Court under the Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1921-22.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto existing between RONALD GORDON ALLAN, of Wellington, EDGAR ANDERS ELLIS, of Wellington, and THOMAS VERNON VENABLES, of Wellington, carrying on business under the title of the “Radio Clarifier Co.,” has this day been mutually dissolved to the extent that the said Thomas Vernon Venables has this day sold his share and interest in the said business unto the aforesaid Edgar Anders Ellis, who has purchased the same.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between RICHARD RHODES, LEWIS WELTON HUNT, and WILLIAM JOHN ROBERTSON, carrying on business (inter alia) as Motor-car Salesmen at premises situated at Cumberland Street and Anderson’s Bay Road, Dunedin, under the style or firm name of “Used Cars Sales Service,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 21st day of January, 1928. The said Richard Rhodes and William John Robertson retire from the said firm.
All moneys owing to the late firm are payable to the said Lewis Welton Hunt and all moneys owing by the late firm are payable by the said Lewis Welton Hunt, by whom the said business will in future be carried on.

TAURANGA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and section 57 of the Local Legislation Act, 1927, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Tauranga Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Tauranga Electric-power Board Loan of £4,500, 1928, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of paying the costs of and incidental to converting such portion of the present eleven-thousand-volt line as is erected between the Te Puke Substation and the Omanawa Power-station to one of thirty-three thousand volts; and, if it considers it advisable so to do, of erecting an extension of such converted line to McLaren’s Falls Station; the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth (½d.) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the inner area of the Tauranga Electric-power Board’s District, as defined in the First Schedule to the Proclamation proclaiming the said district, appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 14th day of June, 1923, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
